Chapter Four||I Know You

-Baekhyun's PoV

"Ya.. Ireona.. I think were late for school." I felt someone kicking my back.

"Yaa..Ireona..Ya..oppa.." I can feel Yebin kicking my back harder. I groaned in pain and got up.

I went running inside my classroom and hurriedly sat at my place.

"Good thing your not late.. but almost." Chanyeol teased.

"Yeah yeah."

Classes started smoothly and everything went through just ordinary.

"Ya, Baek!" I heard Chanyeol shouted from the end of the hallway.

"You coming?"

"Yeah, I'll be right there!" I shouted as I made my way to the restroom.

This school is a lot bigger than I think it is..

I felt like I've been walking for hours, passing by each classroom. I even passed by the library---

"Oh? Is that.. Her?" I pointed my finger at the first person I saw in the library, carrying a book.

It is her.

I went running inside the library when someone stopped me. The librarian pointed at a sign behind me saying , " No Running Inside the Library."

"This is a prestigious school, I'd expect more from the students studying here." she said and continued reading a book.

I roamed around til I found her. The girl I've been looking for.

She sat down on one of the long tables and started reading the book she just picked out. I roamed my eyes for a good book when I saw ' Space Adventures' book. I took it and immediately sat across her.

I guess she didn't notice. I coughed, but then again.. She kept her focus on the book. What's with her book anyway? The Human Heart? Is she studying to be a doctor?

I opened my book and started reading it. This is damn boring, how could she stand reading a whole book for an hour?

I raised my head higher so that I could peak. She's really into studying, huh.

Her eyes are so focused on the book. I couldn't even read her. She seems so.. quiet. She's acting like a ghost. I never heard her speak, I never heard her laugh.. I haven't even known her name. Is something wrong with her? Can't she speak? Is she a mute? What is wrong with her, Seriously?

I quickly averted my gaze from her to my book when she looked at me with a flinty stare.

I acted like I did nothing wrong and started reading my book aloud.

"Shh!" The librarian scolded me again. Can't anyone speak inside a library?!

I noticed that she already continued reading her book. I peaked once again and gave her a stare. There's really something strange with her.

From the moment I saw her in the hospital, I couldn't stop being curious about her. She acts like she doesn't care about what's happening around her. And what's with her pale skin? Is she some sort of vampire? Who is an ordinary person that has a very pale and white skin?

I heard her sigh and that's when I knew she was already staring at me. I roamed my eyes anywhere but from her and acted like I was looking for something.

She turned to her right side and started reading again. I looked at her again when I noticed her uniform name tag.

...on are the only letter I could see from here. Hmm, I'm really curious about her. What's her name??

"Could you damn stop staring at me?!" I nearly jumped out of my seat because of her loud voice. I quickly gazed at her name tag.

'Kim Tae Yeon'

Ahh, so its you, Kim Taeyeon.

"Ugh, What the heck is your problem?! Why do you keep staring at me?!" I looked at her whose already glaring at me furiously.

I laughed awkwardly before I started talking,

"Annyeong!" I said as I waved my hand at her.

She looked stunned," W-What?"

"What?" I asked. Why does she look shocked with me saying hi?

"You kept staring at me and you're only going to say hi?" she asked with an eyebrow raised at me.

"Is it so bad to say hi to a person?" I asked. Instead of saying more, she just rolled her eyes at me and started reading again.

I sighed and reached my hand out. She looked at me with furrowed eyebrows.

"Baekhyun." I said, introducing myself. She didn't answer.

"Ya, are you deaf or something?" I teased.

I stopped when she suddenly slammed her book on the table, while furiously glaring at me.

"What? Is there something wrong with what I said?You didn't say anything when I introduced myself.Technically speaking, you're deaf." I teased and teased. She slammed her book again and stood up, glaring at me.

"You better stay out of my sight, right now--

She stopped when someone coughed. We both look at our side and saw the librarian having a dissapointed face.

"Get out." she spoke coldly.

"W-what?" She mumbled.

"Both of you, out of the library this instant!"

I quickly got up and dragged her out of the library.

"The library is a place of peace and books. If you teenagers are here to skip class and date, don't make the library one of your dating place!" She sighed before continuing,

"Both of you should behave before, after and while you're inside the library." she said and left us outside the library.

We both fixed our uniforms. I even saw her glaring at me before walking away. Why is she so angry at what I said? I was just teasing.

"Ya, wait for me." I said and catched up with her.

"Are you lost or something?" she asked, not even wanting to face me.

My eyebrows furrowed at her question, "Ani."

"Do you have no friends?" she asked again.

"Of course I have." What is she talking about?

"Then why do you keep bugging me and not anyone else?!" She asked furiously and faced me.

"Cause I know you and you're the first person I saw." I said quickly and avoided her gaze.

"What? You, know me? Are you serious? I couldn't even reminisce the time I saw you and you know me?" she kept asking and asking.

"You're Kim Taeyeon." I said.

"Yeah, right. Like you didn't stare at my name tag earlier." she said and rolled her eyes at me.

I scratched the back of my head, "why'd you kept asking when you already knew.." I mumbled.

"Tss." she tss-ed before leaving me. Before she could really leave my sight, I shouted.

"Are you always like that?"

She stopped and faced me, "Like what?"

"Can't you take a joke?" I asked again.

She crossed her arms at me, "I can. Only if the person does it the way I could laugh at it." she said and walked away.

Tsk. I haven't seen someone get angry at my jokes. It was just a simple joke. Of course I know she's not deaf. Geez, she doesn't have to be like that to me just because of a joke.

Kim Taeyeon... I'll make you laugh someday.
