Under the mistletoe

Like every year, we got Christmas party.
Like every year, I wanted Shadow to come to this party.
But, like every year he said: "Faker, I told you many years ago and many times, that I will not go to any of your stupid party, you and your pathetic friends made." Then like every year he will slam his doors and my nose will hurt anoter 3 hours.

But this year will be diferent. I can feel it.

I was currently at my house (I forgot to tell you that our party is always at my house, that I share with Tails). But I can't see Rouge anywhere. It was strange, because she was always here more then 3 hours before the party was even meant to start. And, well, she always knew what to do, that our party will be super awesome, like the every year.

But now, I can't see her anywhere and the party will start in less then 30 min.
When I was about to call her, someone send me a mesage.

From: Rouge
Hey Big Blue. Sorry, I will be there in few. I got some... strugles, with, heh someone. I think you will be very pleased with that. >:)

I looked at the mesage and shrugged. Well that 'someone' with Rouge will be better here in 5 min. or this party's going to be a disaster. I really can't do that much without Rouge and her... what she cals it... Woman hands? Or something like that.

I walked to the kitchen and saw Tails.
"Hey buddy, what ya doin'." I asked him and went to sit on the chair next to my buddy. "Oh, hey Sonic. I'm just trying to do a potato salad, but I'm struggling with it. Can you help me please?" I chuckled "Wait Tails, 'potato salad'? We are not somewhere in the middle-." Before I could finish my sentence, someone knocked on the door. "Oh I will get it Tails. I hope you don't mind, Rouge will help you with it, if it's her. Sorry." "It's Ok, If it's Rouge, then she will undoubtedly help me. Oh and it was her idea..." I only looked at Tails confused and went to open the door.

I didn't even looked who was it, because I saw that persons boots, it was Rouges and the I said: "I'm so glad you could make it in time before the party starts Rouge." I looked up and froze on the spot. That 'someone' who was with Rouge was on the other side of the door and was right beside her, it was no one else then Shadow The Hedgehog. I don't know for how long I was staring at him, nut I guess it was a long while because he said: "Take a photo faker, it will last longer." He looked at me and gave me his famous smirk. I looked at him with light embarrassing blush on my cheeks.

He walked past me, and Rouge was at the door entrance laughing her ass off at the look on my face. I looked at her and said. "You could have at least said something that Shadow is coming too,  you know more then anyone that he was never at any of my parties." "Hehe,  yes, I know that very well. But I thought that you will be pleased with this." She said with an amusement in her voice. 
I looked at her and said. "Fine, I admit that I am happy that he is here, but you could still at least  said something before anyway."  I said with a little annoyance in my voice and beckoned her to go in. "And it would ruin the surprise anyway, big blue." She said when she went past me in to the kitchen to probably help Tails with that salad.

~Exactly 30 minutes later~

I don't  know how she's doing this.  She will come here late as hell. And everything's completly done and looking absolutely awesome.
Everyone from who we invited come,  at time. I seriously didn't even expected this to happen.

Everyone was having a great time,  Shadow-I expected this to happen- was sitting at my armchair and looked annoyed as hell. Like always. I wanted to pay attention to him,  because he looked lonely, but everytime when I wanted to go and say at least a simple 'Hi', someone interrupted. Not that I was complaining, I was having a great time myself. But still... I pushed that weird feeling away and went to the kitchen to Amy and other girls. It looked like they were talking about something important, but when I walked in the kitchen they stopped. It was weird, but tell me, aren't girls weird normally, I think they are. "Hey girls, I came here to ask you about that salad that you and Tails made. Ehm... Why?" Rouge only smiled at my question and said: "Blue, we got the same things every year,  so I was thinking lately, why not do this Christmas a little bit the Europe way?"
I only blinked at her and said. "So... that's why we are unpacking presents 24th and not 25th this year?" "Yes, that's one of the most things that I wanted to be different, then the last years."
I blinked again and said only a small ok.
