The Carnage of War

Chapter One

I sat in a large dark room, my heart beating between my ears at a pace that even I couldn't keep track of. From in front of me, a large screen lit up. I looked at the blank white page in front of me until suddenly a voice rang out from it. So loud that for a moment my ears rang. As I came back to my senses, I noticed words had appeared on the screen and a voice was reading a title.

"Please choose your class." A robotic female voice said to me. Seconds passed of me standing in shock.

"Please choose your class." The voice said once more, just as patient as before. I read over the three choices: 'Cheerer, Builder, and Warrior'

"Please choose your class." The voices reminded me once more. I squinted my eyes at the bright screen as I read the short descriptions underneath each choice. I held up a shaky hand my heart beating faster than ever.

"Please choose your-" The voice suddenly cut off as my finger rested on the choice that read:

'Warrior'

"Thank you for choosing: Warrior." The voice said. The screen changed to something new this time. It looked like a file, it had open spots next to identification words such as 'Name, Age, and Gender' The thing was, my personal information was already filled in. These people, whoever they are, know me. They know everything... I read the file type display until to the bottom and soon I came to a box that read. "Take Identification assessment now." I rested my hand on the screen over the words and it quickly changed. The title at this screen read:

'Please predict your actions honestly in this scenario:' Underneath that read a sentence.

You are walking out of school when you see a person younger than yourself being bullied by two people older than yourself. Do you-

A) Call the authorities

B) Ignore the situation

C) Get someone else's help
D) Charge into the situation
E) Think of a plan, then put it in action

I blink and tap the last option. Another scenario comes onto the screen.

You're being chased through a dark wooded area by two large creatures. You're running out of stamina what do you do?-

A) Continue running
B) Turn and face the attackers
C) Find an underbrush or tree to hide in
D) Continue to run and call out for help 
E) Run in patterns to confuse the attackers

I gently press the third choice and another one shows up. I swallow deeply and read the next sentence.

You are locked in a room with rising water with a wooden door and a large beast on the other side of it. The door is the only way out but the creature will surely charge you as the door opens. You choose to-

A) Open the door and take on the beast

B) Allow the water to fill and then let the beast in to drown and escape
C) Allow the water to overfill and allow it to bust the door down clearing a path
D) Kick down the door and make a run for it

I think for a moment but finally chose the second option. Another scenario is shown.

Your being chased by two people older than yourself towards the edge of a deep drop to the water. The fall has a chance of killing you. Do you-

A) Turn around and face the two attackers

B) Fake a jump into the water and escape

C) Take a risk and jump into the water

D) Attempt the hide from the attackers

I press the first option and another question appears. I read through it my heartbeat beginning to slow down.
