I stand in the dark shower of the bathroom, water hitting the back of my neck as I look down watching the liquid swirl down the drain. There's a knock on the door.
"Yeah?" I rasp using my voice for the first time this morning.
"We're leaving in five minutes for breakfast, you hanging back or should we wait up?" Ash calls from the other side of the door. I reach ahead of me and turn off the water.
"I think I'm gonna be a little late, you guys can go ahead," I say. grabbing my towel.
"Alright- I'll grab you a tray and fill it to the brim," Ash says. I laugh with her as I dry off. "We're heading off to catch the train," Ash tells me.
"Okay," I say. I hear the door open and close. After a couple seconds, I hear it lock and I peek my head out of the bathroom to check the one room chamber. I wrap my towel around my body and jog out snatching my clothes and changing into them in a matter of seconds. I reach up into my bunk bed and grab my brush. I sigh and cringe as I pull my brush through my long dark wavy/curly head of hair. After about ten minutes of yanking and pulling I finally haul my hairbrush back up into my bed and head out the door. With a long yawn, I start my walk towards the cafeteria. Minutes pass of me walking in silence, the heat of the summer sun quickly drying my hair into its natural wave as I arrive at the cafeteria. I push open the doors and see Alto and his group arguing with Ash and Ty. I rush towards them sliding over a table in the process. I push Ash and Alto apart before something breaks out between them. "What's going on here?" I ask Ash. She ignores me and glares across at Alto.
"This idiot over here is trying to make himself look good," Ash finally says.
"Why can't you just leave us alone you prick?!" Ty snaps. Alto turns his glare to Ty.
"Why don't you and this bitch shut the hell up!" He says. I whip around to him and shove my hands into his chest causing him to stumble. I cross my arms. "Don't you dare talk to my friends like that." I hiss.
"Oh yeah? What are you gonna do about it shortie?" He asks. I grab my lunch tray, which Ash has filled to the top with food and shove it onto his face, eggs, mashed potatoes, gravy, and other messy contents spilling onto him. Everyone in the cafeteria turns to us and a few gasp. Alto grabs my collar "I'm not losing to you!" and someone shouts.
"FOOD FIIIIGHT!"
I pull his arms off of my collar forcefully.
"You already have!" I snap. His eye twitches in anger and he brings his hand to my cheek a loud crisp slap ringing throughout the room.
"Woah dude-" Iker says stepping up, but Ash is quick to step in and grabs his collar throwing him full force into a table which moves back from the force of impact. More food flies through the air of the entire cafeteria. She turns back to me and tilts her head looking at my red cheek.
"What a bastard," She mutters. I look past Ash as I see Alto grab a tray from the table he was thrown into.
"Oh not happening," I mumble. I grab my now empty tray and climb onto a table moving around Ash and hitting my food tray against his as if we were sword fighting. I win and the tray flies out of his hand. Linus grabs the tray from me and swings it at me in my direction. I roll to the side and run to Mally's table. I gesture to Mally's tray. "Hey- can I use this?" I ask as Linus and Alto run after me with there own trays. Mally nods and pushes his tray towards me. I take it with a grateful nod and turn swinging the tray just in time to hit Linus in the face and cover him with food. I duck at Alto's swing and kick him back. I grab Linus by the collar and lift him in front of me using him as a human body shield as Alto smacks him with a tray.
