Roseline and Joseph Beuquin fend for one another in the crime ridden subcity of Illiterage. The once culture filled city lies in chunks of tall concrete as a branch of its mother city, Shellizta. The ever efficient government has caused the economy to thrive as the slightly power hungry leaders do their best to uphold the system. The country is running smoothly, but at a price. Illiterage was once a town flourishing with its art, yet now it lies nearly abandoned. Its dilapidated state is due to the strict laws outlawing all forms of artistic expression.
