Raven shoved through the large crowd of 1st years and 4th years. She might have been the only 2nd year in the crowd, trying to get to class as she was already late.
It was unfair. 2nd and 3rd years were required to be in class on the first day, 1st and 4th years were at the assembly, middle school and college grade students didn't even have to come to the first day. Raven always said it was favoritism, but it was just how the sytem worked.
She kept shoving through the crowd until she slammed into the chest of a boy whom she thought was a first year. Raven took a few steps back and looked up at him. "You're breaking the rules first year," she said. The first thing she had noticed about him was his undone tie and unbuttoned shirt.
"By bumping into... Let me guess, a second year?" The boy asked, raising an eyebrow.
"You're smart. But I wasn't saying that. You're breaking the dress code. Now if you'd mind getting out of my way I'm late for class." Raven sighed, staring into his steel gray eyes.
"Why don't you just skip, like me. By the way, stranger, I'm a second year too." Raven rolled her eyes, shoving him out of the way. She disappeared into the crowd before quite literally disappearing.
Watching the crowd was a crow, atop a pillar connected to the gate to the school grounds. The crow shook itself, spreading out it's wings and flying away. It flew above the crowd and towards the school. It flew through the front door of the school and around the halls, stopping in front of one of the doors. Next to it appeared Raven who smiled at the black bird then walked into the class.
"Raven Shimija," the teacher called, taking attendance.
"Here," Raven answered, sitting in an empty seat.
"Silver Takahashi," the teacher called another name, receiving no answer. The teacher set her clipboard down and started her lesson.
"The first rule of soul possession, does anyone know it?" The teacher asked, no one raised there hand. After a few moments Raven did.
"The first rule is that you can't possess a soul if it fights back. The soul has to succumb to you or be weak."
"Thankyou, Miss Raven. Now the rest of you better remember that or you could-"
"You can die in attempt to possess a soul if you have no idea what your doing. The slightest screw up can kill you. The least damage is personality change, the other persons personality could contaminate yours. The 2nd degree is is schizophrenia, you start seeing things from the persons memory. 3rd degree is becoming part of the person, 4th degree is 3rd degree but theres no possible way to separate your souls and last of all is 5th degree, death." Raven cut the teacher off. All the students stared at her, some annoyed, some shocked.
"Thank you, Raven. You are correct, on all of those. I am honored to have you in my class." The teacher smiled at Raven.
The rest of class passed for Raven as of it had merely been a few seconds, though the rest of the class either fell asleep or texted eachother, Raven was the only one who actually cared. She was the last to leave the classroom as everyone else was in a total rush as if school had just ended. She left the class and realized they had actually hurried out to see a fight.
Raven sighed, rolling her eyes. She was about to turn away when she realized it was her ex boyfriend and the boy she had met earlier. "Why are they fighting?" She asked no one imparticualar.
"Apparently Christian, the blonde if you don't know said something about a girl named Raven and it pissed off Silver so they got in a fight." A brunette girl next to her said.
"Idiots..." Raven sighed, starting to walk away. The boys noticed Raven walking away and Christian ran after her.
"R-Raven! Hey Raven!" Christian called, completely dissed by her. "Hey Raven!" He called again catching up to her.
"Christian." Raven almost growled his name.
"Hey... I was won-" Raven cut him off.
"You're wondering if I will take you back. Well, no. I won't. I didn't realize I hadn't made it clear when I said I. Hate. You." Raven scoffed, walking away from a 'teary eyed' Christian.
"What a faker..." Raven mumbled to herself, turning a corner and walking to the schools courtyard. She hadn't realized she'd been followed as she sat under a fully bloomed Cherry Tree.
"So, you're Raven?" She heard Silver's voice from above her.
"To be more specific I am the Raven."
"Fancy titles, I like it. Why not just Raven?"
"Because I'm a crow so they call me the Raven because that's my name. Say, Silver. Why were you fighting Christian?"
"The duren said he owned, well you. He specifically said, 'yeah, I own Raven, she's my girl.'" Raven darkly laughed.
"I belong to the Murder not that piece of duren." Silver jumped out of the cherry tree and landed next to Raven.
"The Murder?" He asked confused. Raven sighed, shaking her head but giving no answer to the confused boy.
"So, sin vhac. What's your story?"
"You speak Zinian?" Silver asked, sitting next to Raven.
'Yes, I'm also fluent in Abrasian. ' Raven signed, chuckling.
"What?" Silver didn't understand anything she was saying.
"I said, so, black cat. What's your story. Then, I'm also fluent in Abrasian."
"How do you know I'm a cat?" Silver narrowed his eyes at Raven.
"I have keen senses. And one of them is reading people. Also your pupils are slit, not rounded. Now don't get me wrong, snakes have slit pupils too but you wreek of cat."
"Show off..." Silver mumbled, crossing his arms.
"Sorry that I pay attention in school." Raven shrugged, gaining a short laugh from Silver.
"So friends?" He asked. Raven closed her eyes and hummed.
"Acquaintances, tommorow maybe friends."
