Raven walked through the empty halls, despite the day off of school. Well thats what she considered it, everyone else considered it just as a weekend.
Her footsteps echoed through the hall as she attempted to multitask. She was holding several books under her arm, walking and trying to put her hair up in a bun all at the same time.
Raven shrieked as she tripped over herself and started to fall towards the ground. She closed her eyes waiting for the impact, but instead she felt someone grab her waist. Silver pulled her up and held her close.
"Silver. Please let me go." Raven said, taking a deep breath in and releasing it as a sigh.
"Nope. Not until you say were friends." Silver chuckled.
"Zvin!" Raven hissed, struggling to get out of his grip.
"Sorry, what was that? Did you say friends?" Silver's grip was to strong for Raven to get out of.
"You heard me, and it was not friends." Raven growled, deadpanning.
"Hush, darling. You don't want a teacher hearing you curse in school grounds."
"Darling?" Raven scoffed rolling her eyes. "Don't make me soul possess you and fix that personality of yours."
"You can soul possess?" This took Silver by surprise but it didn't catch him off guard.
"Yes... But I can't soul possess people or anything like that, only crow's. Every soul has rejected me other than a crow's soul, even those who have been willing of me to possess them."
"Then you should be dead..." Silver said more curiously then stating as he intended too. Raven shrugged, not seeming to care.
Silver, still holding Raven, bent down, forcing her down with him. "What are you doing?" Raven asked confused as Silver grabbed Raven's books that had fallen to the ground.
"Picking up your books and taking you with me until you say friends."
"You're very per- hey!" Raven shouted as Silver suddenly picked her up bridal style while still holding her books.
"Per? Perverted? Persistent, personable? Perishable?"
"Now you're just saying words... Persistent. I was going to say persistent. Why do you even want to be friends?"
"Well, because I have none, I am extremely selective when it comes to friends and you, friend, happen to be the first person I've taken a liking to in a few years. You're different then other people."
"How am I different? And don't say because I pay attention in school."
"I wasn't going to say that. I was just going to say you're different. Theres something about you I can't catch onto and unlike everybody else you're yourself. You don't blend in with the crowd. For example, this school is like a black and white painting, and you're the one color in it, the lone blue sky." Silver explained the best he could.
"Thanks...? I think..." Raven slightly smiled. Silver chuckled.
"Friends?" Her smile immediately disappeared.
"Acquaintances, not friend's." Raven sighed and they both went silent as Silver left the school.
"So... Were are you taking me?" Raven broke the silence.
"The forest. It's the weekend you shouldn't be at school."
"Aaand... What are we doing in the forest?" Another question this time answered with a mere shrug.
"The forest is my favorite place." Silver said slightly smiling. Raven rolled her eyes, saying nothing else.
Once in the forest Silver continued walking and stopped by a pond. He finally let Raven go. But after she stood up he almost instantly wrapped his arm around her waist.
"Are you still going to be this persistent?" Raven asked, slightly annoyed.
"I'll be this persistent until you say friends." Silver laughed, grinning, while on the other hand Raven scoffed, rolling her eyes.
"Wether I classify you as a friend or not were all still strangers."
"Whats that supposed to mean?" Silver asked, confused. Raven merely shrugged.
"Why are you so persistent on not being friends? Whats up with that loner thing?" Silver asked.
"What if I don't want friends?" Raven answered his question with another question.
"No one doesn't want friends."
"Says the one who only now chooses to have a friend." Raven rolled her eyes at Silver. Silver having no comeback fell silent and Raven having nothing more to say also fell silent.
Silver let go of Raven's waist and sat by the pond. "I can't force you to be my friend so I give up." He said. Raven sat next to him, taking off her shoes and thigh high socks. She set them beside her and put her feet in the water.
"Friends." Raven said grinning.
"What?" Silver asked her confused.
"Friends. You finally admited you can't force me to be your friend. So friends." Raven chuckled. Silver sighed, taking his turn to roll his eyes.
"Weirdo."
