CHAPTER-SIX

CHASE'S POV

Amy was staring at me like I've grown some extra head. I guess that's because she's never seen me this excited or lively.
"What change of plan?" She asked. Smirking I dropped to the floor and sat down in an apple cross style.
"I went to see my Dad today, it wasn't that great. He wants your appearance for the public. You may have become Mrs Chase Parker but you have to publicly show up too" she just continued blinking. I stopped to catch some air.
"We're going on a ball very soon, and I need to prepare you. My father doesn't know about your background and he may not like it. So, we have to change you and prepare you for it. Plus, you have to start acting rich, and look rich" I explained. I was expecting a wow or something but she started laughing all of a sudden. I didn't understand why?.
"Did I say anything funny?" I asked igniting my brows together. She calmed down and smiled.
"This is all just weird. I've never tried to look presentable to the world before but I guess my life did change now" she said, playing with her hands. I smiled. "Don't be nervous" I try to calm her. My stomach growls and she look up to meet my eyes, she chuckled "you're hungry" embarrassed I stood up and turn to leave for my room. Without answering her question.
Shortly after I got in, I had my bath and decided to sleep, there was no way I was gonna set the kitchen on fire again.

After maybe an hour or so......

I heard a knock
"Come in" I called out. And the door was opened and I was surprised to see Amaya coming in with food. I didn't know she'd even cook for me again, not after my harsh attitude towards her. She placed it on the bed and turning to leave I stopped her, by saying "thank you" and she just smiled and left.
I went close and opening the plate, I was expecting to see noodles but instead it was pasta. Very yummy looking pasta. My stomach growls again, and I didn't waste more time, I began eating. And wow it tasted really amazing, the best I've taken so far.

After eating I decided to clear the plates to the kitchen, the parlour was empty so I assume she was asleep already.
Going back inside I decided to sleep, tomorrow is gonna be a new day....

Amaya's POV

I woke up to the sweet aroma of something yummy, I couldn't help but become hungry immediately.
I stood up and went outside with my pajamas still on, rubbing my eyes. I saw the dinning piled with foods, are we having visitors? Then I saw Jason helping Chase with the settings. No maid around.
"Hey sis you're awake" Jason said, flashing his teeth everywhere. I smiled and we hugged. "What's with all these?" I asked them. Chase smiled and clearing his throat.
"Well, you've been doing all the cooking, so I know I can't cook but I had some help from the maids. But they're gone now, so I wanted you to eat immediately you're awake cuz we've got work to do" and placed his hands on his waist, smiling goofily and he looked so handsome when he smiled, I couldn't help but wonder how someone can be this handsome.

"Oh uhm thank you" I said going close to the table and sitting down. We started eating, quietly and then Chase's phone started to ring, picking it up, he excused himself and went out to his room.
About 10minutes or so he returned and sat down. "We're leaving immediately you finish eating" he said and I just nodded.

I was contemplating on what to wear, I didn't know where we were going or how I should look. Grunting, I walked from my room to Chase's room, I nocked and he answered immediately, so I opened the door and entered, he was busy with his hair, clearing my throat.
"I don't know what to wear" I said playing with my hands but maintaining eye contact with him.
" just wear anything that'll make you feel comfortable" he replied. Well that isn't really specific tho. "Okay" I turned and left.
I decided to wear a blue trouser, loose from the waist downward and tight where it stopped just above my ankle. I wore a white top, and a white canvas. I applied some nude lipstick and made my hair on a high ponytail. I was done, so I picked my purse and phone and got out to meet Chase. He was making a call when I got out, I didn't want to interrupt him, so I just waited till he was done. Seconds later he hung up, unaware that I was behind him, he turned and surprised he opened his eyes widely " wow! You look pretty" blushing I hide my face "thank you".
Jason was busy with his video game. I called out and told him I was leaving.
Philip was out already waiting for us, I smiled at him and we greeted.
