I woke up to a bathtub full of water, fully naked
I got out of the tub and drained the water.
It's been 4 months since Alex and I last talked, we walk past each other in the hallway, but today I was going to make things right, I still love him. He still loves me. I have been going to Softball every day except Alex doesn't come anymore. That is all going to change, today.
The tournament is today after school, Reagan is supposed to be working the concession stand.
It was my first period if the day, ELA.
I saw Alex in the hallway but I kept walking. I don't have time for him right now.
It was my lunch period, I got my lunch and sat down with Reagan at our normal spot. "Laney, what's wrong? You look upset." Reagan said with a worried expression on her face
"Trust me, I'm okay," I said, reassuring her.
"Laney, I can tell when something wrong and clearly everything isn't okay."
"Reagan I swear to god just stop."
She saw me picking at my food.
"Laney you need to eat." She said ad I got up to throw away my food.
"You can't just sit here and not eat and just pick at your food."
Just then Della walked over to our table
"Laney, Listen to me, I seen you have been too skinny and unfortunately you can't be on my Softball team anymore," Della said while looking at my stomach
Alex saw me from distance and decided to walk over to our table
"Can I talk to you for a second in the hallway?" Alex asked as he motioned towards the nearby hallway. I followed him and did as I was told
"Why haven't you been talking to me?" He asked
"Alex, I can't do this right now.."
He moved closer to me.
"Laney, I'm sorry, I am."
"I'm not mad baby I swear."
I moved closer to him, you couldn't even fit a thumbtack in between us.
"So Laney, I know we are graduating in a few weeks and I was wondering if you would like to, hang out."
That moment I realised my feelings for Alex. We walked out of school that day with our heads held high
My purse in one hand Alex's in the other.
