The fight for Trost

Clove's Pov:

I was stationed with Reiner's group, but in truth I was worried about Armin and Eren, I hope everything's okay. As we continued fighting off the titans, we met up with more of the other squards, their members depleting. 

"Damn it..We're gonna run out of gas soon, the group at HQ should have come out to give us some gas, but the place is over run with titans." Connie complained as we met up with his group, I was looking around from the roof top for Eren's group.

"Guys..Has anyone seen Eren's squad?" I asked, I should have been hearing Eren's voice by now screaming out as he killed the titans. The other's just shrugged, this is getting me worried. Not even a moment later, we found Armin, "ARMIN!"

The blonde male looked up, his face full of dread, I looked around for Eren or the rest of the squad. 'Shit..Where the hell is Eren and the squad, did they get wiped out. No..Eren couldn't have it's not possible.'

"Clo..I-I'm sorry-.." I looked down at Armin, he was crying. Shit, "H-He saved me..But I couldn't save him." I knelt down and hugged my best friend, I was right Eren is gone. Damn it this can't be happening. 

"Armin..I know right now isn't the time, but we have to continue moving. It's for Eren's sake." I said, picking my friend up I headed back to the others. I set the male down at the back to rest, I walked over to Reiner, Bertholt and Annie.

"Where's the rest of his squad?" I shook my head, this causing the group to become shocked, "Wait what about Eren? He should be somewhere right?" Reiner was asking, I looked down my hands in a fist.

Before I could say anything Mikasa showed up, I looked up at her as she asked about Eren's squad, I pointed to Armin and she ran over to him. The blonde male started to cry a lot and explain what happened. This in turn answered Reiner's question about Eren.

"We have to go to HQ and get the gas, if anything there would be titan's inside, and if theres any luck we can find some cadets inside as well. " Mikasa explained, it was a sucide mission to go there, but I knew we had to do this.

"We can do this guys, we may lose some more cadets but if we don't go we could all die." I spoke up finally, I needed to avenge Eren. I couldn't get the chance to even apologise to him. "Let's go, we should try and get there quickly." 

After that, we all headed out to HQ, I was using up the rest of my gas, which isn't gonna be a smart idea, but at the moment I didn't care at all. Eren is dead because he protected Armin, I'm going to avenge his death if it's the last thing I do.

I was blinded by my rage to kill the titans, that I didn't notice my gas was running out, this in turn, caused a titan to grab my wire and I went over the roof of a house to an alley way. I heard the call of my friends.

'Damn it..' I thought to myself, as I laid on a canopy, this is gonna be it. I'm not sure what's going to happen next, I got up and fell to the ground on my knees. I could hear the footsteps of a titan approaching, but I don't have the energy to move at all.

Looking up, I thought back to my life and how thankful I was to my friends for always being there. This was it, Eren thank you for being my friend, Mikasa thank you for caring and Armin..You showed me so much of the outside world and I wish to see it with you.

The footsteps were coming closer, and I knew this was it. 'No..I am not going out like this. I will survive.' I stood up, grabbing my broken blade and stared at the titan ready for a fight. That was until I heard another loud sound, this time from behind. 

"What the.." I didn't have time to react before another titan came from behind and attacked the one that was about to kill me, "Holy shit.." I mumbled softly, a second later I was picked up and noticed it was Mikasa, Armin and Connie.
