Emily is steadily making her way through the snow, seaching for deer. As she holds the wooden rustic gun she thinks of her dad, at the shooting rink. He wraps her hand tighter around the gun, thinking about her dad. Emily hears a twig snap in 2 off in the distance. She checks the gun for bullets, one left. Only one shot. Only one chance. Emily soon spots the soul who echoed the sound. It's a male deer. Every single instinct in her body was telling her to pull the trigger, for her family. But Emily saw a side to nature, a kind one. She couldn't do it, she couldn't pull the trigger. But she remembered Alison's scream, then pulled the trigger. Emily missed. The deer scampered away as she fell to her knees and started to cry. Emily looked at where she had shot, and saw a duck lying on the group. A huge ear to ear open smile streamed across her face as she ran to the bird. Emily swung it over her shoulder and ran to the cabin to share to good news.
She storms into the cabin wearing a grin across her face, "guys, I shot something!" Toby gets up a soon as she saw Emily's smile.
"THANK GOD!" Spencer shreaks.
"Here, put it over the fire." Emily hands Toby the duck. Emily turns away to face the only person in the room who's not smiling, Hanna. Emily takes pitty on Hanna's poor soul and sits beside her.
"What if he never comes back.." Hanna sobs while resting her hand on her stomach.
"It's gonna be okay, he'll show up." Emily comferts her. Hanna breaks into tears and rests her head on Emily's shoulder.
