Chapter 21

Lucy's Pov

We are back at the inn, doing our own things. Sting and Rogue are busy betting and challenging each other in the living room.

Minerva is cooking dinner for us in the kitchen. Yum! She is an awesome cook! People in our guild call her the ' Best Chef ' and ' Minerva The Scary But Good Cook '.

Yukino is munching on blueberry cupcakes that I brought her earlier while watching Rogue and Sting fight.

And I... I locked my room and sat down on the edge of the bed, secretly taking out lacrima from the drawer. I face-crima my older brother, Zeref, since he had a lacrima too.

" L-Lucy... " He sobbed quietly, tears forming in the corner of his eyes.

" Hey, Zeref! How's life? Where's Oceania, is she sleeping already? " I greeted him with my signature smile.

" Y-YOU IDIOT! WHY DON'T YOU CALL US EARLIER? WE MISSED YOU SO MUCH! LIFE IS GOOD AND YES, SHE IS CURRENTLY SLEEPING! " Zeref shouted, tears streaming down his face.

" Sh- " Before I could finish my sentence, someone bolted in Zeref's room, shouting my name.

" LUCY? IS THAT YOU?! I MISS YOU~ " Daddy whined like a kid, putting his face on the lacrima, covering the view.

" Shhh! My guildmates might hear you. And daddy you're blocking the view. " I whispered to him, putting a finger on my lip.

" Oops sor- " Daddy was going to apologize but was interrupted by someone banging on the door repeatedly.

" RINA?! WHAT HAPPENED?! I THINK I HEARD A MAN'S VOICE! " Someone shouted from outside, twisting the doorknob multiple times. I recognized that voice immediately.

I quickly hid my lacrima under the pillow open the door which relived a worried Sting, " N-No, no one's here, it's just me " I replied, " You must have mistaken. "

He rubs the back of his neck and shrugged it off, " I guess so... " before he walks back to the living room, " Oh! And tell me if you need help, okay? "

" Okay! I will! " I answered and gave him a reassuring smile, making him chuckle a little.

When he disappeared, I quickly locked my door and pulled out the lacrima.

" Woah, that was close " Daddy stated, wiping his sweat off his head, making me nod my head.

A few moment silence eloped in the room, " So... When are you going to tell them? " Zeref ask breaking the silence.

" About what? " I asked, raising an eyebrow at him confusingly.

" Everything. " He simply replied.

"..." Silence eloped the room once again.

" I-I don't know... " I answered, not even sure myself.

" Why don't you just tell them, don't you trust them... " Daddy questioned.

" I do... it's just that... remember that time when you told me that  I was wanted by dark guilds and stuff when I was younger? "  I replied as my face turn serious.

" Yeah... " They both answered in chorus.

" I'm... just afraid... I don't want my nakamas to be in danger... just because of me... " I explained as their gaze softened.

" Honey, you have to tell them sooner or later... " Daddy said softly.

" Plus, there are long defeated! " Zeref exclaimed, trying to lighten up the mood.

" I guess so, I think I'll tell them soon... but not about Fairy Tail though. I don't think, I will be able to tell them about Fairy Tail. " I mumbled but loud enough for them to hear.

" It's fine. " Zeref replied, knowing that I still cannot get over what happened four years ago.

" Dinners ready! " Mommy appeared in view.

" Hi, mommy! " I exclaimed, waving to him through the lacrima.

" Ah, Lucy, how is it living in earthland? " Mommy ask casually.

" Good! " I exclaimed and gave her a thumbs up.

" That's good to know. Oh! We are going to watch the last day of the games since we are all free on that day! " She cheered, clapping her hands in excitement.

Knock, knock

" Dinner's ready! " I'm guessing it's Minerva who said it.

" Okay, coming~ " I answered back.

When she is gone, I quickly bid goodbyes, " See you all there! And I would underestimate myself, daddy! Byeee~ "

" Byee~ " They said in unison waving their hands, except for daddy who is crying silently.

I chuckled at the responses and off the lacrima. Then let out a deep sigh.

Will I be able to tell them...

Will Lucy be able to tell them? She knew a lot about her nakamas but they know nothing about her, literally nothing.

Her name, magic, family, past, everything. She lied about everything... just to keep them safe.

She loves her nakamas more than anybody else does. That's why... That's why she lied.

Most of you might be thinking. " WHERE ON EARTH IS OCEANIA? " Since Lucy will be living in the inn for a few weeks, she wouldn't be able to take care of her. So, she left Oceania with her family in the dragon world until the games are over.
