Aspiring Woman of God

I would want to b a sunflower.

 If I could be a flower.. I would want to be a sunflower.

The sunflower is my absolute favorite flower

They have been kissed by God's sun.

They symbolize growth and sunshine.

They're happy & vibrant.

They're beautiful & bright.

They're full of energy & warmth.

More than just a sunflower. They can be converted into oil and seeds.

I would want to be a sunflower because..

All the bees would love me.

I'd be in a field of sunflower that appear to be just like me.

I could even be planted next to a flower way different from me.

Different size. Different color. Different scent.

I'd live through storms and being stepped on, I'd be so strong.

My legacy would live on because I would be planted over and over.

I'd be used in natural hair products, lotions and perfumes.

I'd even be used to cook with!

People would eat my seeds covered in all different types of seasonings.

I'd be legendary.

I'd get to be unapologetically yellow.

I'd produce pollen and make people sneeze.

I'd always feel the wind in my petals.

I'd get a taste of how it feels to fly in mid air when I'm pulled up and tossed..

and also picked up and held tight. loved. 

I'd be given to women who's favorite flower is me.

I'd get to compete with other flowers like roses and daisies.

Because they're beautiful too.

 I'd get a chance to live and die.  

Maybe I could be a sunflower.

Because I am beautiful.

I am strong.

I am unapologetically -- black and natural.

I grow daily.

I could be happy.

My skin glows and shimmers in sunlight because I'm full of melanin and Vitamin E.

People are jealous of what I am and who I will be.

I am capable of producing more..and producing children.

Maybe I am a sunflower...

I can be many different things IF I strive to be so.

I could experience how it feels to fly.

Because I know how it feels to be tossed.. to feel like trash.

and how it feels to be loved.

I compete with other young woman much different than me.. but not purposely.

I can be someone's favorite.

I AM SOMETHING.

I AM LEGENDARY.

I AM SOMEBODY.

I AM a sunflower.
