Prologue

Allyson's POV

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP !

I stopped my alarm clock and raised my upper body with my elbows. I looked at the time. It read 7:05am.

I smiled as I got up and went into my bathroom. Like I do everyday, I brushed my teeth, did my makeup and the put my long hair in a simple ponytail. Afterwards I went into my closet and grabbed my shirt and some jeans. I was going to work.

I drove to work in the black car my parents had bought me years before. I went up to the store titled ALLY'S ANIMALS. I got my key from my purse and unlocked the door. As soon as I got in, the smell of Lysol overtook me. I looked to the right of me to switch the sign on my window to OPEN. My store was officially open for today. I only opened it about 4 months ago and my vet was the best one in the business. I get new clients everyday with different animals.

I turned around and faced the door that I had just walked through. I felt like someone was watching me or something. I went to the back of the store where my office was. I smiled to myself knowing that I was fulfilling my dreams. Being a veterinarian. 

By 9:00am the waiting room was filled up.

"Ally are you ready for Mrs. Ortiz and her cat ?" Asked my best friend who was also the receptionist.

" Duh! You know I love cats!" I said.

"Aha okay I'll send her in then."
