Chapter 1

A shiver runs down my spine as I wait under the awning. I peek out at the pouring rain. A blacked our car pulls up and the driver jumps out. He opens an umbrella and walks over to me. He holds the umbrella over me as he walks me to the car. Once I'm inside, I am blasted with heat. I chuckle, he knows just how you like it. The driver chats with me while he takes me to my boyfriend's house. It's new and in a very exclusive part of town. When the driver finally pulls through the massive gate, I breathe a sigh of relief.

Walking up the grand stairs to the even grander front door, my hands start to shake. My boyfriend opens the door before I have the chance to. He was obviously standing there waiting for me. I try hold back tears as he silently and immediately wraps me up in his arms. I let out a small tear quietly on his shoulder. He shushes me as he gently strokes your back.

"It's okay baby. Let it out." He says soothingly.

My boyfriend, the famous Ringo Starr, takes my hand and gently guides me inside. He pulls me through the crowds of people. Everyone is dressed in black. People offer hugs and give mournful glances. Ringo has done well at allowing just enough time for each person to give me a hug or offer a kind word. No one understands what I'm going through right now. I just want to run away. But Ringo's hand is firm around mine.

I look lovingly at the back of his head as he pulls me away from yet another conversation I don't want to have with someone I don't even know. When I finally make it all the way to the end of the mass of people, I am pulled into a vast room. Looking around I see Ringo has made up a bed for me. He sits me on it as he heats you up tea.

"Now you listen. For the rest of this depressing gathering I want you to stay in here. Stay until you're ready to come out. If that doesn't happen at all, so be it." He says. I smile weakly.

"Thank you Ringo. Really. I.. I just... don't.." He shushes me as he sits down, handing me the tea.

"You don't need to say anything. I will not leave your side. Well.. Physically I have to. So that I can tell people you appreciate them coming but you want to be left alone. But you need anything and I mean anything, I am always here to serve my girl." He kisses my forehead, turning out the light as he leaves he pauses,

"I love you to the moon and back." He says.

"To the moon and back." I promise. He smiles, quietly shutting the door as I crawl under the covers, thankful for everything about that man.
