- Back to the present -
I picked up the worn off dagger, slightly covered by dirt and scope out my surroundings. Even in the dark i could see the outlines of the trees, bushes and rocks by the river. As i listen to any noise indicating that I'm not alone, my intercom comes through, giving me a slight heart attack.
"Is the surroundings clear, Agent" Ashton's voice comes through.
"Yes, so far there is no indication of anyone, you may proceed to block off the entrance and exits" i whisper, the cold temperature getting to me. I longed for the comfort of bed and snuggling my blankets till dawn.
"Have we marked the hostages, Dee" I whisper through the almost broken Bluetooth.
"Second level, third room to your left" Daisy replied in a matter of seconds. "Head in in 30sec, we need team A on entrance and Team B on exits" I whispered, me and Daisy were part of the extraction crew at the moment, we were supposed to 'rescue' a millionaire hostage. Not the most important mission, but none the less I need to finish it.
"NOW!" Sam yells, urgh my ears are ringing. Sam gets way too excited for these.
I run over to the worn out house in the middle of no where and proceed to climb up the dirty gutter pipe, "gross, where's Rapunzel when you need her" Daisy whispers, I gave her a small chuckle and stop at the second level. I tilt to my left and peak through the window, hoping to see no guards. Gunshots are heard downstairs and I rush to get inside. "Coast is clear Dee" I whisper yell to her, she gives me a thumbs up and climbs in the window herself.
I run on my tiptoes, creating less noise, like a ninja basically. I stop at the third door and slowly draw my gun from the holster. I turn around to see Daisy doing the same thing and I give a slight nod and she gives one in return. I kick down the door for the 'dramatics' and draw my gun pointing around and scoping the room.
"Did you really have to kick down that door Elle, you could have just opened it" Daisy says with a slight amusement laced in her tone.
I lower my gun as i spot the hostage in the corner, tied down with heavy chains on a chair. The boy had light bruising on his left eye and throughout his body.
"Hostage located, rescue mission part C commencing" I say through the Bluetooth intercom.
"Hey, we are from the CIA, we are getting you out, please cooperate with us" Daisy says in a calm tone, while bending down to cut the chains.
As soon as we cut the chain, I lead the way out with my gun pointing to anything moving.
As soon as he is safe, I go back to dreaming about my bed and the warmth surrounding me in half an hour.
"If it's okay with you boss, me and Daisy would like to go home" I salute while talking to the boss herself.
She nods and answers my question "yes agents, well done. Get some sleep I have a mission for the both of you. Be at my office by 6:30am. Dismissed" me and Daisy take that cue to leave. I'm already dreaming about my sleep filled nights and cuddling my pillow instead of a boyfriend.
I put on my helmet and jump onto my Harley while Daisy does the same, we both own identical bikes it's amazing.
As soon as we are set I speed through the forest and onto the deserted highway into the city. Stopping at a modern two storey house with Daisy trailing behind.
I do my normal night routine and hit the hay at 1:30am, brushing my teeth and changing into my black pyjamas. Placing a hand gun on my night stand and a knife under my pillow. You can never be too sure.
"Night Dee"
"Night Elle"
We both scream across the hall, it's like tradition I guess.I drift off to blackness to the sound of Daisy snoring.
