"Hey I found some concert tickets for tonight, wanna go?" Kai's best friend Alli texted her
"I'll go but who's performing?" Kai texted back
Alli answered "Oh just some Canadian band that my ex boyfriend was obsessed with"
"Oh" Kai quickly assumed who it was
Marianas Trench, also known as the band with the douchey lead singer who likes to mess with innocent girls heart strings
"So you down?" Alli asked
"I'm down!"
It had been three years since the boys last toured the states so they decided it was time to change that
Their newest self titled album just came out
"Let's go!" Alli moaned
"I'm ready!" Kai shouted
Since three years has passed, Kai has changed her hair color, gotten tattoos and she had quite the glow up
"This dress looks great right?" Kai asked Alli
"It looks amazing, twirl around for me once!"
Kai twirled and the dress flowed right below her behind
"Work it sister!" Alli complimented Kai
"I'm so dizzy!" Kai fell back into her couch
"We need to go!" Alli exclaimed

Kai took a deep breath of the stale air as Ali and her entered the venue
"This place still smells the same" Kai looked around
"What do you mean?" Ali was giggling and confused
Ali didn't know that three years her best friend had met the band in the venue they were standing in
"I used to come to concerts all the time here when I was younger!" That was a partial lie on Kai's part
Kai didn't want to mention the little Canadian pop star affair that happened three years that involved her
"Oh right, I always forget you were a rich kid!" Ali jealousy laughed it off
"Lets get barrier!" Kai tried to quickly change the subject
They ran to the barrier

Two amazing openers later and Marianas Trench finally came on stage
The room darkened to a dark blue and it got lighter as the boys continued on with their opening song
"Hello Minneapolis, it's been far too long!" As the lights were turned on Josh could see that Kai had barrier
Josh thought to himself that he made the worst mistake of his life by letting her get away but it was for the better
"This ones dedicated to an old friend of mine, they're somewhere in the world perhaps maybe in this very venue as we speak!" Josh began to play "Rhythm of Your Heart" A song that when it was released it instantly became a classic favorite for trenchers all around the world
Kai knew exactly who he was talking about but everyone in the crowd figured that it was about Amanda
The boys continued on with their incredible new material and they closed the show with a big bang of confetti
"Hey did you ladies enjoy the show tonight?" A deep voice came from over Kai's shoulder
Kai recognized the voice the right away and she was instantly terrified
She paused
"Why yes, yes we did!" Ali responded to Josh's question in an enthusiastic voice
Josh really wanted Kai to answer that question instead of some random annoying girl he doesn't really know
"Ali why don't you go get us some drinks?" Kai walked over near the restrooms
"It's been way too long darling what brought you here tonight?" Josh questioned Kai
"That loud girl who answered your question earlier" Kai answered
"Ah yes, you didn't really wanna come tonight, did you?" Kai was getting fed up with his questions
"My friend dragged me here and I couldn't say no!" Josh looked shocked but he couldn't believe that Kai didn't really want to be there
"Go sit at a table, order a pizza and tell your little friend to go home, I want to talk to you" Josh ordered
Josh walked over to some fans eagerly waiting to meet him
Kai didn't want to be alone talking to Josh but she quickly remembered that Josh is a very private person
"Hey I got us some drinks" Ali placed the drinks on the table "So what's up?" Ali looked depressed
"Oh nothing, thanks for the drinks girly!" Kai lied and they drank their drinks
"Hey I'm gonna stay for a while and order a pizza!" Kai told Ali
"Okay well I should get going, I have work tomorrow!" Ali started picking up her things and left

"Hey hot mama!" Josh drunkenly slurred
Kai wondered where that came from as that isn't a thing Josh normally says
"Hey, and I'm sorry hot mama?" Kai giggled
"Yeah, that's what you are!" Josh booped her nose and she was smiling
Josh took her near the restrooms. He went into the men's restroom and knocked on all the stall doors to see if anybody was in there.
Nobody was in the men's room so Josh got Kai and led her into it.
Josh and Kai looked profoundly into each other's eyes and he pushed hair behind ears
"I don't know why we ever stopped talking, my love" Josh whispered into her ear
Those were the exact words that Kai wanted to hear that provided her with some closure to their
