Maybe there's a place
Where nobody lied
Where hearts were unbroken
Where no one wanted to die

Maybe there's a place
Where no one cried
Where trust was not taken for granted
Where eyes were dry and bright

Maybe there's a land
Without empty promises
and washed out dreams
No disappointments
or hollow screams

Maybe in this world
You could just be you
You won't have to change yourself
Because society wants you to

There would be less violence
and people without a home
dad's would be in the picture
and mom's wouldn't have to worry about the bills all alone

There would be less problems
People would finally see
that what they're doing is wrong
it's not okay to lie, steal, or cheat

But in our world
People will never see
they continue to mess up the future
and crush our little dreams
but until our  time has come
we will continue to dream
of how wonderful that place would be.
