A Magic Dinner

Polly P.O.V.

We formed a circle, our arms on each other shoulders like a sport team. "What should we do for him?" asked Daisy. "Maybe a show?" said Dan. Some suggestions later, I said "Why not some stew?" They all looked at me. "You know. Dan can get the water. Daisy has the vegetables. I have the fire." Everyone got excited. "Yeah. It's a good idea." "But wait. We wouldn't want Steve to know."

Steve P.O.V.

I was walking back to the chamber when Annie came up, holding Night. She had a worried look on her face. "What's the matter Annie?" "It's Night." I looked down at the thin black cat. "She told me she was getting sick. She said only the 'Medicine Grass' can heal her. I don't know what it is. She said you do so I really want you to help her.

"I'll tell you what to do. So you can practice you animal magic." Annie looked panic. "No no. She said she want you to help." I wasn't convince. "Please?" She made a cute chicken face. "Heh. Ok."

Annie P.O.V.

I ran back. That was a close one! We quickly got started. Me and Dan carry a big pot to a pile of sticks. Dan filled it with water while Polly lit it up. I watch the water boil. I went to check Daisy. She was concentrating the hardest. Lemons, mushrooms, carrots, et cetera started growing. When she open her eyes, she almost fell down. I catch her, falling down a bit too. "Are you ok?" "Yeah. I'll be fine."

I realize I was kind of useless. You probably don't want a cold stew right? I sat down and started thinking. It was a hot day so why not some beverages? I found some glass in a chest and craft some drinking glass. I got some potions and a flint and steel. I got a little pot and filled it with ice. Lit the flint and steel and the ice started melting. I was good at cooking. Well kinda.

-A WHILE LATER-

I poured the pink liquid into the glassed. I got some lemons and pink dye, mumble something, making the lemon pink. I sliced it, then put it on the glass. I was working quietly in the corner when Daisy called me. "Ummmmmmm Annie, I think we need some seasoning." I taste the soup. Ugh. Polly and Dan made a kinda embarrassed face. Looks like me face shows a lot of expression. "Can u fix it?" Polly asked, slowly. "Yeah."

"Pepper." "Pepper." "Chili." "Chili." "Salt." "Salt." Daisy handed me the spices. After some re-seasoning, I taste it. Hmmmmm. I let Daisy, Dan, and Polly taste it. They gave a thumbs up. "Wait." A message from Night. They must be close! I concentrate.

Night P.O.V.

"Night I think you're ok." said Steve. I shook my head. "Common. You're fine. Let's go back." I struggle all I can. Claw trees. Climb trees. Ran around. At last, Steve use magic to carry me until I was safe(by safe, I mean not clawing you in the face). We were getting close. I'm not sure if the kids are ready. I quickly sent a message to Annie.

N-Night A-Annie

N-Quick! Steve is getting close.

A-Can you delay him a little bit more?

N-No can do. Quickly!

Then I lost connection.

Steve P.O.V.

Night leaped out of my arms. I guess she was ok. I went to check on the kids. When I enter the room, it was dark. Before I can summoned fire, blue and purple fire lit up. "HAPPY BITHDAYYY!!!!!!" Dan yelled. Polly hit him. Well she tried to at least, for she was controlling the fire. "It's not his bd beep!!!!" she loud whispered. "I mean THANKS?!!!!!!" Polly TRIED to face palm herself.

After Polly and Annie got the hang of the colorful fire, they join us. Daisy led me to a table. Well, it was planks covered by red cloth. There was flowers in the middle and Mushroom Stew! We sat down and started eating. There was also the pink liquid. I asked Annie what it was and she said she made it by herself. "It's a cocktail I create called the Pinky Paradise! Copyrighted. No alcohol except for yours. By just a little." It tasted great.

"We wanted to thank you Steve so we made you.... Ummmmmm this." said Daisy. "Thank you sooo much kids. I appreciate it." As on cue, Night sprinted in. She ate the stew, which was kinda strange but except able. We had a great time. "Oh and sorry for lieing to you bout Night." Annie said. "It's okay." I told them their magic got better and asked how they got the colorful magic cause that's suppose to be hard and Annie was also controlling the fire but she's ice. "Oh well I make the fire. Annie found a way to converted dyes with stuff so she made colorful ice and combined it with the fire with some magic." "Same thing with the cocktails. Oh and try touching the fire!" Polly moved the fire to me. I touched it, expecting a burn but was greeted by a cool wind. "Awesome right?" said Dan.

Daisy P.O.V.

I was EXHAUSTED. So was Dan and Polly and Annie. "Steve why are we so..powerless?" asked Polly. "Well kids, magic take strength. A lot of magic makes you tired." I use all my strength to keep my heavy eyelids up. Dan's head was slowly tilting down. Annie bounced up everything she realized she fell asleep. Polly was the same. When sleeping was about to take over.......BOOM!!!! The sound made everyone wake. Night ran away. "What was that?!!" The sound came from outside. Steve ran out followed by four very tired kids.
