Olivia's POV
Tuesday mornings aren't any better than Monday's, especially when the weekdays start merging into one another.
Throwing my legs over the bed and sitting on the edge I reflect on the day I had yesterday.
I realised that I didn't have too many bad teachers which was a relief. Just had to get past Mrs Evans this year without drop kicking her annoying ass.
I can hear footsteps approaching my door followed by a light knock on the wood.
"Olivia, it's raining." My mom states the obvious and I huff, not having the patience to respond.
"Yeah...," I drag out, not getting a response I continue, "And?"
"Do you want me to move my car out of the way so you can get your own car out?" She questions, still talking through the door.
I think on it for a second and look out the window.
Its not raining too heavily, plus I need the couple minutes walk to clear my head before school anyway.
"No." I respond, "I'll just walk, it'll be fine."
"Okay, yell out when you're leaving." She finishes and I hear her walk away.
Today's hopefully a better day than yesterday, I have Visual Arts which is definitely a plus. I've loved art since I can remember. My parents weren't too impressed when I picked it as a course though.
Getting up from the edge of my bed I walk towards my wardrobe, groaning to myself when I remember that I have math every day of the week except Thursdays.
I throw on a pair of black ripped jeans along with a grey jumper. I've never been one to dress up for school and even jeans were a little too fancy for me but I felt the need to impress someone today.
I didn't know who though.
Throwing my bag over my shoulder and grabbing an apple on the way to the front door I called out to my mom.
"Leaving! Bye!"
Not waiting for a response, I shut the door behind me and begin my short walk to school.
Damn I should have at least brought an umbrella with me, the rains starting to get a little heavier.
"Shit" I curse under my breath when the rain gets so heavy I can barely keep my eyes open.
I fucking suck.
Deciding that I really don't wanna spend the rest of the day sopping wet I turn around and run back to the house.
"Shit again." I grunt when I see that my mom's car is no longer in the driveway, signalling that she's already left for work.
I continue running until I get under the cover outside my front door and begin to look through my soaked bag for a key.
Just when I thought my day couldn't get worse. I left my fricken key in my room.
Huffing for what felt like the tenth time I decide that my only other option is the back door, which I'd have to jump my fence for.
Luckily for me, this isn't the first time I've had to do it.
Last year my auntie came over and literally forgot her 2 year old inside the house with the keys locked inside. Being the lovely person I am, I suggested I just jump the fence and go around because we never lock the back door. I thought I could easily clear the height of it but no, I ended up catching my leg on the very top of the fence and falling about 6 feet into my arm. Let's just say that my mom had to call the ambulance and not for the baby inside.
