Olivia's POV

The rest of the day went by slowly and I couldn't keep my eyes open for most of my classes.

I was walking to the cafeteria for lunch with Charlie by my side.

"Wait so why weren't you in homeroom?" She asks me.

"Did you not see me get sent back out?" I laugh softly, biting my tongue from ranting about Mrs Evans.

"No? I was a little late."

You've got to be kidding me.

I kept walking beside her, rolling my eyes.

"That bitch uses the littlest of excuses to get me in trouble," I say and realise that Charlie's confused, "I got there before you, but I had to sign in cause I was only a few minutes late. Yet you get there after me and she doesn't bat a fucking eye."

She realises now why I'm pissed.

"I don't get why she hates you so much," Charlie looks at me sympathetically, "I really don't." She adds.

"Me neither," I sigh, "Don't really care that much anyway. She can stay pressed." I laugh.

Charlie joins in with the laugh, shaking her head as well.

By now we had entered the cafeteria and sat down on our usual small table.

Most of the time it was only the two of us but every so often Charlie's boyfriend, Blake, would sit with us.

I've never liked him to be completely honest. I'd never tell her this but her boyfriends a complete asshole. I'm also never quick to judge either so these opinions aren't impulsive ones, I've known him for about a month now and from that time I've gathered that he isn't a good guy at all.

Its funny to make fun of how head over heels she is for him but that's really where the humour stops, he himself is too uptight to joke around with anyway.

Sure, he's sweet to her face but the shit he does behind her back is crazy. I saw him grab the ass of a girl in the Chemistry class I share with him, I tried to tell Charlie about it yet she thought it was some joke and played it off as one. I guess love truely does make you blind.

"Blake!" I hear Charlie squeal from beside me.

"Fuck." I say to myself as I cover my right ear that's been abused by a pitch unknown to mankind.

She ignores me and jumps into her boyfriends arms, causing me to wrinkle my nose up in disgust.

She deserves so much better it makes me so sad to see her fall for the wrong people.

Blake looks right at me before sitting down next to Charlie.

"Not even gonna say hey?" I poke at him.

It brings me genuine joy to get him annoyed or mad, its the only funny thing I can do with him.

"Hi." He states, his jaw clenched, obviously already pissed off at me.

A small smile appears on my lips that I try to hide when Charlie sends me a pleading look.

Okay now I feel bad.

Deciding that there's really no bother for me to be an awkward third wheel to an equally awkward relationship, I stand up and excuse myself.

"I forgot my maths book in my locker." I state, throwing my bag over my shoulder.

"I can come with you if you want."

"No its fine, I'll only be a minute." I reassure her, knowing that lunch ends in a few minutes anyway. I'll just walk very slowly.
