'The man standing right in front of me is the same one on the TV...Holy cow!!!'
I again looked at him and back at the TV and again at him to make sure I am not imagining anything. His face turned puzzled as he looked at me, confusion and irritation are written all over his face. He turned towards the TV as I kept shifting my eyes alternatively between him and the television. His lips curved into a smirk as he looked back at me.
'God! He is real', I gasped and covered my mouth in shock.
"Aaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhh"
I again screamed and ran to my room hurriedly without looking back at him. I entered my room and closed the door and leaned myself on it. I gasped for air and closed my eyes.
May be I have gone mad, hallucinating something which is not real. There can't be anyone other than me in the house. I am sure I have closed the main door. May be, I forgot to lock it
'Is he a thief? But he was on the TV too.'
May be, I am still sleeping and just dreaming something. I pinched myself to make sure I am not dreaming.
"Ouch". That hurts.
Yes. Its real.
I went into the bathroom and washed my face. I have to check if there is someone in the house before aunty and uncle could arrive. Otherwise they will be mad at me for being so careless. I opened my bedroom and peeked out my head to check if there is anyone.
'Clear'
I entered the living room and he was not there and the TV was also turned off. I heard some noises coming from downstairs. I went down slowly and the voices became louder and clearer. I could hear my uncle's voice. He sounded happy and enthusiastic.
'When did they reach home?' I asked myself.
I heard a new female voice, which I can not recognise.
'Oh, So we have got a new visitor today. God! Now they will order me to cook variety of tasty dinner to impress their new visitor'
By this time, I stepped down the stairs and entered in the lobby. Suddenly someone shouted in excitement and clapped their hands which caused me to stumble on my feet. Before I could kiss the mother earth, my hands grabbed on the nearby stool for support, a book which was kept on the stool fell on the floor with a thud.
Silence filled in, and everyone became quiet in the room as they turned towards my direction. I felt so embarrassed so I bited my lips. I smiled a little at them to hide my embarrassment. I scanned the room and there is, of course my uncle and aunt, and also Rudhya who is trying really hard to control her laughter, and also a lady in her early fifties and him.
'God! I am not hallucinating. He is real!'
"She is here. My lovely daughter.", my aunt said in a dangerously sweet tone and came towards me. But Rudhya came running to me before aunty and hugged me tightly.
"Finally!! You are going to be happy ka", she whispered in my ear. I blinked in confusion. I looked at him again over her shoulder, he is standing at the far end of the lobby opposite to me. He is wearing a white t-shirt and black jean.
I think the lady is his mom. She looked so happy. She is hugging him and said something to him which made his face to go beyond irritation and shock. God! He looked very angry all of a sudden. Rudhya broke the hug as my aunt hugged me next. But I didn't take off my eyes off him.
Suddenly, his ragefull eyes set on mine. He kept on glaring at me. I looked away not able to bear his strong glares. My uncle came towards me and touched my head lovingly.
'Woah! That felt fake. He can't beat aunty in the skill of acting. Dear uncle, you have to learn more from your wife'
'But why are they acting nice to me today all of a sudden? What the heck is going on !!!!!!!! I sense something wrong is gonna happen. Oh lord Shiva! Please don't make me suffer more. Om Namah Shivaya', I silently prayed to God. That lady appoached me and smiled at me warmingly. Her smile felt genuine and not a forced one. So I returned her smile. Her eyes gleamed with happiness and adoration.
"Wow, You have grown up into a beautiful lady. You look exactly like your mom. So pretty and loving" She said, touching my cheeks and slightly pinching it.
"Thank you aunty" I said, still in confusion.
"Enaku theriyum, Unnala matum tha en payanoda vaalkai la santhosatha kondu vara mudiyum ma (Translation - I know, Only you can bring happiness in my son's life"), she told me.
