Kavya's Pov:
"It's okay, I wanna be alone. I'll be fine. Don't worry about me, Parth.", I assured him once again, but he reluctantly let go off my arm as I stepped back from him before turning around and heading straight to the backyard.
The wooden door looked rusty, guess no one cared to clean this place after I left to Mumbai. Unlocking the door, I pushed it open. I pressed my eyes shut as I smelled the familiar scent of my Mom. It was soothing, I needed it. Stepping in, I shut the door behind and looked around. After signing the house over to Kalavathy, she told me to take my Mom's stuff and get out of her sight. Parth insisted to come along with me, but I didn't want him to encounter my outburst again.
My eyes scanned the deserted room which looked like it had been locked out for decades. I opened of the zipper of the luggage I brought with me and stuffed her clothes which I have been kept safe in the closet here, her accessories, her used pair of footwear, everything that smelled like her. After she passed away, people around me gave up most of her things to an orphanage. But I kept the left things in here safe. I still remember grabbing my Mom's saree from the bundle that was kept ready to ship to the orphanage, when no one saw me, I pulled a saree from it and ran back to the storeroom crying like a maniac.
I wiped the tears that fell on my cheeks and closed the zipper as I almost packed everything in the luggage. I looked under the cot to recheck and looked through the empty closets and was about to head out when something caught my eyes. There was a bag above the closet, I wondered what it might be as I had never seen it before. I pulled a small stool from a corner and stood on it and reached for the bag, I was able to touch it with my fingertips, I tried to pull it front but I lost my balance as I jumped down from the stool and the bag fell on my body and opened.
A series of coughs left my throat as dust flew up from the bag and a load of dusty papers sprawled around me from the bag. I patted off the dust from my saree and looked at the papers and wondered what they were and how I had never noticed them before.
I took one piece of paper from the floor and scanned it front and back. It was pretty old and brown almost on the verge of decomposing, the edges are damaged. It caught my breath in my throat when I looked at what was written on the paper.

Parth's Pov:
She wanted to be alone for some time. I couldn't deny even though I knew she was hurt and trying to show herself strong but terribly failing. After she left, Rudhya came up to me, apologizing for her Mom's behavior. But I could only be thankful that she was nothing like her mother. She had a pure soul, just like Kavya, a little bit annoying, yet she had a good heart. And she was successful in lightening up my mood.
"So what do you say I divorce your sister and marry you?"
"Huh! You wish!", she flipped her hair and she giggled.
