Chapter 2: Strange Things

Jessica's POV

The night came when Jordan and I are going out. Katie and I spent our day shopping and was getting ready. Our date tonight we will be having dinner at the Panda Inn, which is Chinese buffet, afterwards we're taking a little walk around the woods and just chill until when we get tired.
When I finished getting ready, Jordan came up to me and asked if I was ready. I nodded and we left to Panda Inn. I love Chinese food, I always get the Chow mein, Kung Pao Chicken, and fried rice. Jordan got Broccoli beef, egg rolls, and Beijing beef.
"Mind if I grab a bite of that Kung Pao Chicken?" He asked shyly.
"Not at all if you give me your egg roll." I said.
He gave me his egg roll and I gave him a piece of the Kung Pao Chicken.
"I have a question," I said.
"I may have an answer." He replied.
"Why did you want to go on a date with me?" I asked.
"Because I wanted to."
"But why?"
He smiled. "I'll tell you when we're hiking in the Kolobus mountain."
I rolled my eyes. I guess he wants to tell me when it's the right moment. We then finished our dinner and drove up to Kolobus Mountain. We then walked up for a bit and watched the sunset go down and looked at the stars.
"Okay, now can you tell me why you asked me to go on a date with you?"
He blushed. "Jessica, remember the time we met in Sophomore year?"
I nodded.
"Well, I like you, and for awhile my feelings for you have grown a lot. For the past 4 years, I had to be sure if I did like you enough to go out with you. I'm so sorry you had to wait, but you're just so cute! Your personality, your looks and your silliness.."
I looked at him with shock. Silliness?!
"Why silliness?" I asked.
"Because you don't believe in Vampires and I think they're real." He snickered.
"Jordan, come on. Nobody here has seen a Vampire. I believe that there are werewolves because of the full moon and they live in the forest and mountains but Vampires I can't believe. They're mythical creatures." I explained.
"See? You're so cute when you state your point." He said. I smiled at him. His emerald green eyes shine with the moon glowing and he leans in and kissed me. As we were kissing, I decided to look behind Jordan and I saw a dark figure. I couldn't tell what it was, it had bright orange eyes glowing. I stopped kissing and told Jordan to look behind him. He looked and gave me a confused look.
"What happened baby?" He asked.
"I-I-I saw a figure and it had glowing orange eyes." I explained.
"Maybe it was a vampire..."
I playfully punched him and pushed him away from me. "I doubt it, but this figure was creepy. It looked like a serial killer."
"Or a Vampire." He smirked
I gave him the dirtiest look. I've had it with him trying to make me believe it's a Vampire. It's not. At least I hope not.
"Hey hey! I'm sorry. I didn't mean to tease you like that, I'm sorry Jess." He said hugging and kissing my forehead. I smiled at him. "No Jordan, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have reacted that way. I knew you were joking. It's just that this figure that I saw looked really creepy and I'm a bit freaked out you know? I'm sorry."
I hugged him and we continued to kiss until we decided to go home. We arrived at our apartment and when Jordan and I got inside, I went to my room and got ready, and through the window I saw a big mansion across from it. I didn't recognize it before, but I saw a woman running around and a guy running after her. I looked closely and I saw the guy biting into her. No... that can't be! It's a Vampire? No. I saw blood splattered on his window and he stood there looking at me with his orange glowing eyes. It's that creeper!! No!!
