BEING WITH HIS FAMILY WASN'T HOME
—he yearned for the sensation of it
and he only got little whiffs of home
when he was with his grandfather.
until his grandfather died.
it was as if the only oxygen left in the young man
was kicked brutally out of his lungs
and sadly, no one was as devastated as he was.
he cried for days (but 'cried' wasn't a good enough word to describe it).
what was he without his good old grand-dad?
he would still be sauntering down that horrific path
if it were not for him.
