Kyleigh
I'm on my knees, bawling my eyes out, no doubt looking like an idiot. I don't care. I don't care. Then Grey's there, and I turn and cry into his shoulder. I feel his arms slip around me, picking me up. I feel but don't feel wind through my toes, my hair. Everything is numb. She just-- no. I can't finish that thought. I won't. Eventually, in his arms, I fall asleep. How, I don't know. I just do.

The rest of the week goes by in a blur, crying, eating, sleeping, crying, eating, sleeping. Over and over and over again.
"Honey." My dad says, pulling my hands from my hair. "Pack your stuff."
I look up at him, eyes red and sore. "What? Why?" I could barely understand myself, let alone hear myself.
"You're going to have to move in with your mother in Missouri. I'm sorry. She convinced the judge for custody. I'll be able to see you during the summertime though."
My head shoots up. "What?"
His eyes soften. "I know that It'll be difficult, but you have to. Let's go before you start that cycle again."
He leaves the room, and my phone vibrates.
GREY: How u doin
ME: fine. beach at 7, the usual spot? i gotta talk 2 u
GREY: see yah then, gorgeous.
I get caught up on that last word. He thinks I'm gorgeous?
GREY: sorry that was weird
ME: no no no your fine
GREY: okay, see u then
I sigh, smirking. Then my smirk gently melts off my face. I won't see him after today. Today is the day. I know what I must do.
