CHAP.1
I wandered through the darkest forest; with the scariest tree's, the coldest air, wet-est snow and the most dangerous animal. But this is my best-est friend, my only friend. It was late. I let my dress dampen as I dragged it through the snowy forest. I wasn't far enough I could hear the warning siren the wolf is coming. but not tonight.
Tonight he will be in precisely In the middle of the forest at exactly midnight.every third night. I pulled my hood over my head. I carried a normal sized weaved basket filled with one pigs foot and the other hand was a pair of nice white knitted mittens my granny had made me two years ago. they kept my hands nice and warm. With every step I had made I could hear the crunch of the snow and branches I had broken. I could hear his howling instead of the sirens I was finally decently far but still not far enough. that just means he knows where he is, and he is there. The sound of his howl soothed me. For the rest of the way I ran to our meeting spot, it started to softly snow, the small snow flakes fell gentaly on me, It stuck to my cloak.
I stopped, those eyes..........
they were his eyes, bright beautiful deep golden eyes. they stood out in the dark. I could feel His presents, I could feel his happiness and love for me. I don't know why we craved each others friend ship. I read his thoughts. He greeted me swiftly. I gave him the pigs foot. He pushed a silent thank you towards my reach.
It was a long night and a smooth convorsation with the wolf. He cradled me. It kept warm, almost like ganny's old winter cottage. I heared a soft whisper goodnight and a wet warm nose to my forehead.
I opened my eyes to a cloudy new day, I lifted my head to see the wolf had left me but I wasn't where I was before I was under shelter. It must have been the wolf.
Looking around, I new where I was, I was closer my village it was only a few steps away.
(15 mins later)
I arived at the village mom was worried. She has been getting a little more curious were I have been going she even notices the pattern now. If only I could tell her if im out late im safe because the wolf and I are best friends. But I can't she would banned me from all freedom I have. I wouldn't behable to take one step on the cold icy ground.
"well, now that you are home safe and sound can you please go drop these off the granny, she has a special suprise for you" mumma said as she handed me a basket of bread and cold leftover pourage.
I tugged at the cold door knob and started my jouney to ganny's house.
