I broke branches and all sorts of twiggs to pull my way through the woods. My hot breath met the cold air. I saw my breath drift away into the pine trees. I felt watched. I looked around obnoxiously to see if anybody had been there. I saw a tall cloaked man dark shadows hid his face I could only see glimmery brown eyes almost gold or yellow. The crunch of the snow, sticks and twiggs got louder beneath my feet. He was watching every move I made he would twitch every time I was about to fall. He was convincing me he was a creep. I heard the wind whisper "it will be fine" I staed at him for quite a time, I felt like I knew him, like I had a connection. I just ignored him as I made my way closer to Ganny's house why did she live so far into the woods? I questioned myself like I always do.

My stomach made a loud growl. I'm sure Granny wouldn't mind if I took one little piece of bread.

I reached inside thefinely weaved basket filled with goods and leftover pourage. I pulled out a fine piece of bread. I cradled in in my hands and lifted it to my nose It smelled fresh and Delicious. It was still warm.It was still soft. I sliced it open with my teeth. I took bite after bite. Only crumbs remained in my hands, I dusted them off with one swift move.

I saw Granny's house I walked up the cold, slippery, icy stairs and knocked on her beaten up wooden door. granny I have some food for you. She opened the door I felt a cloud of warm hair push against me as she opened the door. she gave me a big warm hug. "deerie, your so cold come inside and join me. I have a present for you"

I followed her into the house, It smelled like fire, fresh herbs and winter flowers, It was a comforting smell. she wrapped a blanket around my shoulders. "here this should keep you warm, Red". I smiled and took small sips on the tea she had given me.

"I will be right back, with your present" Granny din't go to far just a few steps infact. She opened a big trunk, A beautiful trunk. There was hand carved design's I have guessed she had done in her childhood,  a big wolf stood In the center with bright gold ryhnstones. Pretty flowers carved into the sides. granny lifted a long Bright beautiful red, hooded cloak.

she layed it out onto my lap.

"I made this for you, I thought it should be red because it fits you, you know because your name is red and it is your favorite colour isn't it?"

"yes, it is Granny thank you" I smiled as My eyes lit up to the gorgeous detailing on the cloak.

"Now you can throw that nasty old blue one away" she said with a disgusted look while holding my old cloak in one hand she tossed it into the fire she used to heat up the pourage I had given her.

she handed me a bowl filled with hot pourage and buttered bread on the side, I devoured  the bowl in just a few minutes. I took a small nap afterwards.

I woke up to granny calling my name. "Red, red, red wake up deerie, I think you should go home before the wolf comes out, you don't want to end up eaten"

"Don't worry Granny, I think that should be the least of your worries, And mine.

I threw on my new cloak and made my way home it got darker by the thought.

The bright yellow moon shawn with all its power onto me. I felt warm but I was sure my nose was as red as an apple. I paused the cloaked man was still there. I walked by him slowly He touched my arm suddenly I had thoughts of all of the times I had with the wolf. Cuddling under the moon light. our long chats in the cold snow, in the spring we srtolled under the blossom trees, in the fall   when we watched the leaves fall from the dark sky. and when I first met him when I was young. I was the only little girl who wasn't afraid. The only one who din't listen to their mother. But some rules are made to be broken.
