David Henrie as Luka. :)
Luka’s POV
I grin as I pass a sign that says ‘Welcome To Beacon Hills’. Finally, I was home. I’ve been looking forward to this for weeks now, ever since I was told that I could graduate early, because I put in enough credit hours. I didn’t tell my dad or brother, because I wanted it to be a surprise.
It actually amazes me how much I’ve come to miss this town. In all honesty, growing up, I couldn’t wait to go to college, just to get out of the town. But it’s where my family is, and I know I’d miss them way too much if I moved away permanently, which is why I’ve never even considered moving away permanently. Four years was long enough to be away from my family, I think.
I suppose I should probably introduce myself now. My name is Luka. Luka Stilinski. My dad is the sheriff of this town. I have a younger brother named Stiles. Well, at least, that’s what he likes to be called. His real name is kind of long, and a little hard to pronounce, hence the nickname. Personally, I would prefer to call him by his real name, but Stiles insisted I used the totally uncreative nickname in order to avoid confusing people. The things I do for that boy sometimes, honestly.
Stiles and I are extremely close, a lot closer than most siblings. Sure, we’ve had our fights, we might bicker every now and then, but I consider Stiles to be my best friend, and I know he feels the same. There’s nothing I wouldn’t tell him, and vice versa. Stiles is one of the few people in this world that I trust undoubtedly.
I can’t believe he’s going to be a junior this year. Man, time really flies by, doesn’t it? I can remember when he first started kindergarten, and he kept clinging to me, because he didn’t want to go. I was the one to calm him down. And now, he’s going to be a junior in high school, and next year, a senior, and then he’s going to be going to college...
I shake my head to clear my thoughts. I didn’t want to think about Stiles going to college. If my being away was too much for me, I’d hate to find out what it’s going to be like when Stiles goes to college. At least when I was at college I actually had friends, or at least, people I hung out with, to keep me occupied. I wouldn’t necessarily call them ‘friends’. We weren’t close enough for that. But when Stiles goes to college, I won’t have anyone to hang out with. Yeah, it’s going to be pretty lonely when Stiles goes to college. I wonder if I could rent an apartment wherever he’s going to make it easier to visit him…
My grin widens as I pull down the familiar street, and I finally make it to our house. I pull into the driveway, noting the other cars in the drive. I frown, not realizing that they could have company. I suppose I should’ve called ahead or something. With a shrug of my shoulders, I turn off my ignition, and get out of the car, grabbing my duffle bag from the passengers seat.
Still set on it being a surprise, I don’t use my key to open the door. Instead, I knock, and wait patiently for one of them to answer the door. I lean against the house, crossing my arms.
“Stiles! Answer the door!” I hear my dad shout.
“On it, Daddy-O!” Stiles shouts back, making me chuckle quietly. Stiles and his antics. Yeah, he can be a goof sometimes, but it’s one of the reasons why I loved him so damn much. Stiles finally opens the door, letting out a scream when he sees me. He throws himself at me, nearly knocking me on the ground. Luckily, though, I catch him just in time. “LUKA!!” He says happily.
“Hey, Stiles.” I say, grinning down at him. “Miss me?” He looks up at me and gives me a look.
“What do you think?” He asks, raising an eyebrow. I laugh.
“I’m gonna take that as a yes.” I say. He laughs and nods.
“Come in, come in!” Stiles says, taking my duffle bag from me. “Dad, come see who’s home!” Stiles shouts. He turns back to me. “Is this all your stuff? ‘Cause if it’s not, we could…”
