"Did you hear, that boy is entering this class." the students whispered to one another.
"There he is, so annoying." one pointed to the boy who entered the class.
Bang Chan.
"Hey, guys. How was the holidays?" Chan started a conversation as soon as he said down beside the group of boys.
The boys just rolled his eyes towards him.
Chan just sighed.
He knew the boys- the class doesn't like him.
But he always wouldn't give up.
Even after years, they still wouldn't open their heart towards him.
"He is not cool enough to hang with us." Chan heard the boy said.
Chan just frowned. But deep inside,
There is hope.
That he will someday, be friends with his classmates.
-
"Class, we have new classmates. Please come in." the teacher called the new students inside.
Chan was excited.
Maybe he can make friends after all.
"Hello, my name is Kim Jaeri, please take care of me." the boy said with a smile.
Then, there was a girl beside him.
"My name is Lee Boyoung." the girl said.
"Please choose your seats. Take care of them students, don't make them feel uncomfortable." the teacher said.
The boy decided to sit behind Chan.
"Hello, my name is Chan. Jaeri, right?" Chan shook hands with him.
Jaeri smiled.
"Hello, I hope we get along." Jaeri smiled.
On the other hand,
The girl sat at the last row, at the corner, near the window.
Chan actually wanted to greet her.
But she was very distant.
-
"Where were you from?" Chan asked Jaeri.
"I am from Ilsan, but moved here because of my dad's work." Jaeri said as he ate his food.
"What does your dad work as?" Chan asked.
"A chief. Always busy, it's so frustrating. I moved here, is the school nice?" Jaeri whispered the last sentence towards Chan.
Before answering, Chan chuckled.
"Well, if you are a nerd, they will bully you. Just stay away." Chan gave the new boy advice.
Jaeri laughed along with him.
-
Chan was the last to leave the class.
Well not exactly, but she was there too.
The new girl.
Chan knew it was his chance to greet her.
Chan waited at the door, pretending to tie his shoes.
As Boyoung walked to the door, Chan stopped her.
"You must be new, my name is Chan, nice to meet you!" Chan bowed.
Politely,
But the response from her, wasn't good.
Without hesitating, the girl walked away, pushing Chan.
"Ah, it's okay. She seems weird. Maybe I make her uncomfortable." Chan let out a sigh.
"I'll try next time." Chan smiled to himself as he left the classroom.
