New Home

It was another day, and Ari went out of his home to find food for his siblings.

Ari's POV

Hmm... That's strange, there's no hunters. They must've fleed off somewhere. I sure hope they dont comeback.

I looked around and saw a pack of worms wiggling to their home. Since they're small and moderately slow, I caught them in my bag.

After hours, I got tired. So I placed my basket somewhere on a branch and flew above the canopies until I reached the emergent layer of the forest.

When I reached it, I never knew that the world has many surprise in stored for me. It was full of adventures and beauty!

I would like to explore them, but I cant... I need to take good care of my siblings. I cant possibly let my older twins take care of them! You, know why!

The breeze went through my face. It was a refreshing feeling. I loved it.

Moments later, I heard someone talking from below me.

Hunter.1: Look a bird!

Hunter.2: Let's catch it

Ari: Wait... Catch me? Oh no no!! Gotta get the worms and hide!!

I dashed to my basket and when I reached to it's place, it wasnt there anymore. I looked around and found it on the grass.

I flew down there as fast as a cheetah. Then, I got it. Afterwards, I started to fly. But before I could go far someone caught me and made me drop my basket to the grass.

I was caught by the net of a hunter. I screeched as loud as I could.

Allison's POV

Me and Aaron were just playing, when I heard Ari screech loudly.

When I peeked outside, I saw Ari caught by a human inside its net. I was helpless! I couldnt do anything to him but call our older twins.

When I broke the news to them, they freaked out, but before we could catch up to Ari. The humans drove away with their... Moovy thingy? What do you call that? Yeah... I'll just call it moovy thingy.

So yeah, before we could Ari, they already left us! Poor Ari! What can we do?!?!

Ari's POV

I'm putted in a cage, and I'm placed with another bird, that is in a cage too!

What do these people want?! Do they want to kill me for my feathers like my dad!? Why couldnt they just have killed me already!?

Or is this just a new method of killing bird?!?! Making them die with anxiety?!?! Agh!!!!

The hunters went to California from Arizona. Then, suddenly, Ari felt the vehicle stop. He went to look at the door and it opened.

One by one, the bird were carried to a building. But what kind?

After the toucan's turn, it's Ari's turn to be brought there. When they entered, there were full of animals.

Like dogs, cats, turtles, birds, you name them! Ari still has no idea where he is. So he just listened for the humans, maybe while talking, he could hear where he is right now.

~Minutes of Waiting~

Ari heard the humans' conversation, it appears to be, that they're in a pet shop! Ari still has no idea that they already have arrived at Arizona.

Ari sighed in disappointment, knowing that he's far away from his siblings. He thought that he could take care of them, but guess not.

He letted his mom down, he thought. Then a feather touched his back. He went to look at it and it was another bird.

???: Hey there! My name's Tashi! Tashi the toucan! What's your name?

Ari: My name's Ari, nice to meet ya!

Tashi: Why do you look sad?

Ari: Well... I was just at my home in California, in one of its forests. I was just finding food for my siblings when a hunter caught me... Are we going to get killed later?!

Tashi: First of all, were in a pet shop! No one gets killed here! We pets will have to wait for an owner to bring us home! Second of all, finding food for your siblings? Shouldnt your parents be doing that? Or atleast all of you?

Ari: Well my dad got killed by a hunter before, and my mom died because of stress... She tire herself, not giving herself rest, and my two older siblings are just lazy and stuffs, while my other siblings are still young...

Tashi: That's sad...

Ari: Well... Can you help me find my home?

Tashi: I'm sorry Ari, but this is your new home now! I mean... Our home. Besides, were now in Arizona, it would take you ages before you could get back to California!

Ari: W-what!?

Tashi: I'm sorry Ari, but that's reality. Atleast we'll not suffer from the wilderness anymore, right?

Ari: Right... But I promised my mom that I would take care of my siblings!!!

Tashi: I know you promised... But we cant do anything... Were both trapped here and... Even if we try to escape, these humans will catch us again and put us back in our cage

Ari: These humans are witty!

Tashi: You said it bro

Ari's POV

I guess this is mt new home now... In a pet shop... Wait... What if...

The human gets me out for adoption, and then, I could fly out of it's hands!! Yes!

That's how I can get home!! But I dont know how long it will take though... I guess were playing the waiting game then...
