The next day, Leafy stepped outside and saw Firey, who was walking to his house as he got back from shopping.
She blushed and waved at him. "Hi, Firey! How are you today?" Leafy said to him.
"Oh.. I'm great.." he smiled and waved back. "How are you?"
"I'm great too!" She exclaimed. "Cya later, Firey!"
They walked away. Firey thought about her as he left and felt something thinking about Leafy..
"Why can't I just.. ugh! This is dumb.. I can't even tell her how I feel." he kicked pebbles on the sidewalk. "..maybe someday."
He tried to watch TV, but the only thing on his mind was one of the contestants he had been with for so long. He then tried to do some other things, but they didn't work when trying to clear his mind.. so he went to bed.
Firey was trying to sleep. But.. he couldn't. All of those years with Leafy had taken their toll. He wasn't sleepy, but he wasn't energetic either. "Why can't I stop thinking about her?" he sighed. "..I can't sleep."
"..maybe someday."
