– Eve's pov –
"Whatever you do, do not look it in the eyes." I could hear Lydia's words echo in my mind as I looked around the hallway. Malia had gone off into another classroom and I was looking for Scott.
There was a lot of freaky shit going on lately and my brother, Scott, promised to explain it all to me today. He was a werewolf and had a pack of course, it made sense to me but the hunters all coming after every supernatural being threw me off. Why now? All I knew is that I had to be prepared for the fight that would be taking place between my brother and friends versus the Hunters. Along with the hunters, there was this very creepy thing that made your fear skyrocket. It's name was too hard for me to remember, Anukite or something.
My mind started jumping to possibilities of Scott facing this thing on his own. He was strong but there's no telling if he's strong enough to beat it by himself. Please be okay, Scottie. I took a deep breath as I turned the corner and bumped into a hard object.
"Hello, Evangeline." His voice spoke softly to me which made me do a double take.
"Aidan." I let out a slow breath and adverted my eyes to his chest, this was a trick. "You're not real...you're dead."
He took another step towards me and I stepped back again. Aidan was like a second brother to me. We fought alongside each other that night when he met his tragic and too-soon fate. This wasn't Aidan, I know it's not him.
"Evangeline, you know me. Look at me, Angel." I closed my eyes and went to go around him which resulted in him grabbing my arm. "Look at me." This time his voice was nearly melodic and I got trapped into his words.
My eyes drifted up his chest slowly to his face. His smile was still the same little smirk as I remember. I don't know why but I wanted – no I needed – to look at his face. To see the boy I used to admire with all my being.
As I got closer to his eyes I could hear the faint and muffled sound of yelling. It sounded almost as if it were coming from a tunnel but all I could focus on was the beauty trapping me into Aidan's bottomless abyss of eyes.
- switch to third person pov -
Lydia ran down the hallway looking for any of her friends, anybody that she could help keep alive. Her and Stiles split up when he ran off to find Scott and his younger cousin, Anna. The young adult ran down the hallway and turned a corner just to see something she never wanted to see in a million years.
Eve was giving in to the enemy.
"Eve! Eve don't look!" Lydia yelled to her but Eve was entranced. The banshee moved closer and heard the sound of footfalls behind her. "Eve!"
As she went to run forward, a hand wrapped around her arm and pulled her backwards. "Scott has to do it, Lydia." Stiles spoke to her in a stern yet comforting voice and held her in place.
Lydia looked over at Stiles to see Scott breath in warily. She knew the pressure he felt. Scott would have to face his biggest fear in order to save his younger sister, he had to let out the darkness he kept inside him for over a year or two.
Scott started at a slight jog then ran forward while shifting and threw himself at the figure in front of the younger McCall sibling. He felt the impact as he fell to the ground but the figure disappeared. "Damn," the wolf stretched his back as he stood up and let his features return to normal.
