Our story begins in the North pole during a dreadful snowstorm. It was the worst the travellers had seen since they set out on this expedition 3 months ago. The air appeared to be opaque & nothing could be seen beyond the tips of their noses. One of the men in the group, named Lyk, decided that it would be unsafe for them to carry on with the weather this bad so he suggested to his partners that they make camp for the night. One of the men, Chlo, was in agreement saying: "Oh fuck yes, I don't think I could walk another step. All I want to do is lie down and sleep for two days straight." The third man in their group, Weer, looked appalled saying: "No way am I stopping now, we've made so little progress today, if we don't cover several more miles before nightfall we will be way behind schedule." Chlo and Weer then began to stare at each other with such hostility in their eyes that Lyk stood between them in case one of them decided to throw a punch. He said "Now now lads, we've gotta be realistic. I know this isn't ideal but the storm is only going to increase in intensity and we can't make any progress if we die out here." Weer conceded that Lyk was right and the three of them looked around for a good spot to make their camp. Lyk found a ridge that would shield them from the brunt of the wind and called the other two over to see it. "This looks good," Chlo said. "I could squeeze right into that corner there and fall asleep sipping on my whiskey." Weer rolled his eyes & muttered under his breath, wondering how he got so unlucky as to be lumped with a lazy alcoholic on the most important adventure of his life.
They then proceeded to make a rudimentary igloo with surrounding snow. The lack of visibility and raging storm made things difficult but after just over an hour, they had a satisfactory shelter made. They filed in through the entrance one-by-one and sat around the edges of the igloo so they would be able to stretch out their legs and relax after their exhausting day. Lyk picked up his backpack and pulled out three tin cans of baked beans. Chlo screwed up his face in disgust saying, "What the fuck, beans again! I'm sick of this. What I wouldn't give for some hot sausage right now. Ugh!" Weer then sniggered, "haha you wanna eat sausage." Lyk berated the two of them for being childish and they then proceeded to eat in silence. The cans were put to the side, and soon they all climbed into their respective sleeping bags and before falling into a deep sleep.
Lyk was the first to wake. He had to be as the others always slept for so long and it was up to him to get them moving again promptly in the mornings. This morning however, something felt different. He spent several minutes trying to work out exactly what it was and eventually he realised. Everything was silent. There was no sound. Since they first set out on their expedition to the North Pole the snow had been relentless; every day it would come down and the noise from the winds was deafening at times. He did not understand how it could just have stopped so suddenly so he proceeded to the entrance of the igloo to try and find out why. However, he was horrified to find that the entrance was blocked in by snow so thick that no matter what he tried, he could not figure out any way out. He then shouted: "Chlo! Weer! We're in trouble!" The two men jumped up half asleep & confused whilst Lyk filled them in on their predicament. "Holy fuck!" Weer shouted. "This can't be happening. I will not die out here. This is not how I will be remembered! As a poor twat lost in an Arctic storm. Oh god, why me." He then fell down on the ground in a heap and started to cry. Chlo however reacted quite differently and just chuckled. "Lol, so this is it eh? Oh well, guess we may as well just kill each other now, save ourselves the suffering." "No!" Lyk shouted. "We will not give up hope. We just have to put our heads together and think. In the meantime let's take advantage of this rare opportunity to rest while we do so." So the three men sat huddled together in the middle of the igloo with quizzical looks on their faces, wondering what they should do next.
After several hours of ruminating & circulating discussions they realised that there was no way out; it was hopeless. As this dawned on Lyk he put his head in his hands, feeling sad and responsible for their misadventure. Weer told him not to blame himself and that stopping to take shelter was the wise decision at the time. None of them could have known what would happen. Lyk remained inconsolable so Weer decided to hug him and stroke his hair saying "Really, you're the only reason we got this far. Me and Chlo are hopeless when it comes to navigating and you keep us from almost killing each other at times." Lyk smiled and thanked Weer for his kind words, holding his hands and said "Well if I'm going to die in the North Pole, I'm glad it's with you guys." The three of them began to reminisce about their time so far in university and how they had all signed up for this North Pole expedition as part of their Geography course.
Chlo thought it was ironic how he had only signed up to impress another girl in their class, Molly, and now he would never get to ask her out as he had planned. Closing his eyes and thinking about Molly made him feel very warm and happy in an otherwise cold and dreary situation. His 'happiness' soon became evident to the other two and they both blushed, trying their hardest to appear as if they couldn't see this. Chlo suddenly opened his eyes and realised he had become visibly aroused and that the othr two were both very aware of it. He felt extremely embarassed and apologised profusely, wishing the earth would swallow him up where he sat. Lyk told him not to worry about it, that they were all adults and there was no harm in finding pleasure wherever they could in such a dire situation as this. Chlo relaxed a little and then closed his eyes, thoughts drifting again. The bulge that had started to appear continued to grow and this time Weer and Lyk didn't try to avert their eyes. They watched as he slowly began to ease the tension growing in him and as a result they began to feel the same tension themselves. As Chlo opened his eyes again the three of them looked at each other, lust evident in their eyes but also fear. Fear as none of them had ever had such thoughts about another man let alone acted upon them. They were venturing into uncharted territory but none of them cared. All they knew was that they wanted this and would not stop until every last desire was satiated.
