"NO! SHE WILL NOT BE YOUR MEAL!" Inkstar yowled, rushing to her deputy's rescue. The dogs snarled at him as he slashed the leader's muzzle. He didn't yelp. He just snarled, but Inkstar was determined to save Brokendream. He aimed at the dog's throat and slashed it. He yelped and dropped to the marshy riverbank. The dogs yelped and fled, but as one was turning around, it flung him into the rushing river. Inkstar struggled to keep his head above water. But, it all went dark.
