New Beginnings

~Dream~

Laughter filled the halls. What was so funny? I asked myself. Walking further down the hallway, I could hear the laughing getting louder and louder as I neared the cafeteria. I was in school? as I arrived at the doors, the laughing stopped, and my boyfriend, Devin pushed his way through the crowd. His red hair had a little glare on it from the sun. One of the things I liked about him. He was wearing a tux and holding a little white box. Walking toward me, the crowd opened for him. The swarm of people huddled together to see what would happen next. Devin was standing before me hair shining and all. He bent down to one knee, and opened the box.

"Evan, will you do the honors of marrying me?" he asked.

"Yes! Yes! Yes!" I squealed like a little girl who just got a lollipop. A grin pulled onto his face and I saw an evil glint in his eye. That's when I felt it, cold, gloppy, brown stuff was pored onto my head. Mud?? Why is there mud on my head. Then the laughter grew to a roar again. Everyone pointed and laughed at me. Then my heart shattered into a thousand pieces. Devin was laughing with them. "Devin! what's going on?" I asked confused.

"Listen Evan, you were a great easy sex, but now I'm moving on, and I wanted to go out with a bang." He stated as if nothing was wrong. And there I was, covered in mud and humiliated with a broken heart. Again the laughter grew and grew until I thought my ears would explode. I ran from the cafeteria, leaving muddy footprints in my wake. Tears filled my eyes as I collapsed on the ground.
