Evan's POV

-------------

I woke up panting, my head beaded with sweat. No, no. This school would be different, I will not make the same mistake I did at my old school. I shuddered again thinking about Devin. He had been such a good boyfriend. Then he got 'tired' of me. Now I know not to get too close to someone. I still can't believe I gave him a chance. My dad had walked out on us 4 years ago, and it's just been my mom and I ever since. I hate him every time I see my poor mother come home, tired to the core, working 3 jobs just to support us. I love my mom to death, and she's been so supportive of me being gay and all, and it breaks my heart to see her too tired to do anything. Shaking off all my troubles, I pulled my blankets over my head, my shield from all my problems, to try to go back to sleep when all of a sudden my alarm clock decides to work today. BEEP BEEP BEEP. Ugh...I pressed snooze and pulled the blanked back over my head. Getting ready to drift of to dreamland, my alarm clock #2 decides to go off.

"Evan!!! Time to get up!" my mother yelled up the stairs. It was followed by,"OHMYGOSH! It's already 7:10 get your a*s up before I come up there and poor this smoothie on you!" Yup that was my mom.

"Five more minutes", I yelled back, pulling my pillow over y head. Then after some loud footsteps walking up the stairs, my bedroom door creaked open, and mom crawled from the door to the side of my bed.

"Evan honey, please get up,"she stated as if challenging me to say something.

"I don't wanna go to school..." I mumbled back.

"Sigh...I warned you!" just then a cold blend of fruit was poured onto my head.

"What the hell mom!?!" I yelled half surprised and half amused she actually did that. What was I thinking, of course she wold do it.

"Love you son" she sang as she danced out of my room, accidentally banging the blender on my walls.
