"And...we are clear, good job everybody," announces the talk show producer from across the room. There's a shuffling of papers and a cacophony of relieved sighs and idly chattering. Another day is finished at Swift Studios and Taylor Swift herself gets handed her routine latte and is hurriedly escorted by a protective security crew back to her dressing room.

"Somebody bring me a muffin, please?" Taylor asks as her crew briskly walks alongside her through the the studio halls.

"Sure thing," comes a friendly low voice from down the hall. Taylor's manager comes sauntering towards her, "Perfect as usual, Swift, perfect as usual. I left those documents in your office. You can pick them up before you leave. Okay, take care and have a good weekend!"

"Terrific, thank you Phillip," Taylor says with a wide toothy grin. "Oh, and can you send for my dear Miss Kloss to my office? I need her there in a moment."

"Will do right now. See you next week," Phillip grins before heading off to find the assistant.

The second she closes her door behind her Taylor slams her back against it and lets out an exhausted groan. She takes a long sip of her hazelnut latte, savoring the bittersweet taste. She quickly changes from her floral chat show sundress to her dark jeans and creamy blouse. Her heels remain on though. She'll need them in a minute.

Taylor touches up her makeup and hair in no time at all. Her lips are pale pink today, along with her blushed cheeks. Her eyes bare a subtle smoky shadow. Taylor cleans up her mascara smudges before eagerly heading to her office upstairs. The elevator doors ping and she exits briskly, making her way down the plain white halls adorned with posters of guests and plaques of awards. She comes to a spot where the wall becomes a frosted glass. And then eventually a black door. Taylor enters to find her trusty assistant Karlie Elizabeth Kloss swiveling around the leather work chair at her desk like a child.

"Oh shit," Karlie hisses and attempts to jump up from the chair on hearing the door lock and finally noticing Taylor's presence. But her long legs tangle with the legs of the chair and the wheels send her toppling noisily to the floor. A stack of papers that were lying on the desk comes down with her as she tries to grab onto something. "I'm all right!" Karlie strains from the floor.

"Oh my good grief," Taylor murmurs as she speedily rushes over to help the assistant. "Guess we have to bring the number back to zero on the days-Karlie-hasn't-fallen board," she smirks, "And we were doing so well with six."

"Were you really so confident that it would last though?" Karlie asks her boss with a nervous chuckle on her red lips. A chuckle so deliciously shy and innocent it makes Taylor pout with empathy.

The city skyline outside is beautiful. Darkness time has fallen early like it does in the winter, and all the street lights and neon signs have illuminated the world outside. The only light in the room is the tall led lamp in the corner. It provides plentiful light but also creates a mellow atmosphere. Taylor's office is a mix of reds, golds, and navies. She's got succulent plants and awards on her shelves. Along with pictures of friends on surrounding cork boards.

She takes Karlie in. The assistant is in her usual grey pencil skirt and white button up shirt paired with black kitten heels. Her dark rimmed glasses rest neatly on her nose, though they're a little wonky after her fall. She's got pens in her pockets and her hair bun. And her makeup is perfectly imperfect. Her ruby lips are fading at the edges. And her mascara has speckled her eyelids when she blinks, but it looks so good on her. So flirtatiously messy.
