"im gay" i tell the losers club.
i watch as richies mouth drops "wow eds i didnt think you had the balls to do it"
"w-wait you k-knew?" i barley manage to say.
"well yeah, it was kinda obvio-
"we are all very proud of you eddie!!" bev says interrupting richie.
"w-we love you e-e-eddie, and we a-are happy y-you t-told us." bill says while squeezing my hand to reassure me that he means it
i smile back.

after a while we all decided it was best to head home, richie and i lived near each other so we walked home together.
"listen eddie spaghetti, i just want you to know that i love you -
the way he said that made my heart melt.
- and that i'm so proud of you for coming out to us." a smile spread across my lips.
"i love you too trash mouth, this means a lot"
"bye eds"
he smiles and playfully winks at me before walking to his front door.
"bye richie"
"hey ma" i yell as i walk through the doors to my house.
"eddie, what did i tell you about yelling" she snaps
i ignore her and run up stairs.

a few hours later

out of no where my phone starts ringing.
"eddie," he breathed  "i need you, i-i need help"
"why? what happened?" i say
"m-my dad, he hit me"
"why the hell would he do that?!" i spatter
"he called me gay then said he would never love me, a-and then h-he hit me -" he sobbed
"richie im so sorry. i'm coming to get you"
i hung up the phone and rushed downstairs
"i have to go mom, i'll be back soon"
"wait eddie!! where are you goi-
i slammed the door and sprinted to richies house.

he was laying on the grass sobbing when i got there
"richie, are you okay??"
"n-now i am"
it hurt my heart to see him like this.
"richie. i'm going to bring you to my house. come one"
"wait eddie," he whispers
"ye-
before i knew it my lips were on his and i was melting into the kiss.
i grasped my arms around his waist and pulled him closer.
his hands found there way to my hair and he started smiling into the kiss.
oh how much i love his smile,
and his body,
and how his glasses are way too big for his face, and how tender his kiss' are an-
oh my God im in love with richie tozier.
"i'm in love with you richie" i say breaking the kiss.
"i love you too eddie spaghetti"
i grabbed his hand and pulled him up.
we started walking towards my house hand in hand as happy as ever.

471 words, not too bad for the first chapter. i actually really like this book so far— i have big plans for it :)
