chapter 2

I  groan at my lack of sleep last night.

i check the clock by my side.

5:30.

i turn and look at miranda sleeping and i sigh.i wish i could tell her but i have to be careful not to trust a lot of people especially now because if i make a wrong move then we all perish in flames.

i stand up and hop around the room a bit careful not to wake miranda up.After that,i grab my towel and undies bvefore entering the bathroom.Itake a quick shower and proceed to brush my teeth.

As i rinse my toothbrush,i hear a loud crash. My heart beat quickens and i hear miranda groan.

"stop being paranormal desdemona.they wouldnt find you that fast"i calm down a bit.

miranda enters the bathroom grumbling in annoyance.

"good morning"i say and she smiles a bit before entering the shower and start running the hot water.

i leave the bathroom and start dressing up.I pull a big black t-shirt over my head and navy blue leggings.I plug my hair dryer and start drying my hair.I straightened it and put it in a sleek ponytail.

"you are dressed all ready?"miranda askes as she walkes in a with a made up face.Her make up is mild but beautiful.Her hair is let down and already dryed and comb.

"i like to do my hair and make up in the bathroom .is it wierd?"

i shake my head"no not at all"

she gives me a toothy grin as she goes to her closet and lays out a black tee,pink skirt and pink boyfriend jacket.

"too much pink?"she ask.

i nod.

she groans and pick out a lilac cropped jacket.

"okay?"

i nod.

i finish glossing my lips and pinch my cheeks.

i look presentable enough.

miranda grabs her bag and i grab mine.we exit the room together.

"its time for breakfast now if you want"

i shake my head"i have somewhere to be i'll see you during lunch?"

she nods and walks toward the cafeteria and i go to the administration building.

when i enter, a blonde woman greets me after i send a greeting her way.

i go to the secetary office and I see a female gnome.

"Hello what do you need?"she asked in a monotone  voice.She couldnt look like she cared.

"i'd like to see someone?"

"who?"she asked as she scrolled down her laptop.

"the dean"i replied and she nod her head a few secvonds later.

"down the hall,take a left and then a right and you'll see three doors.The door with the letter D is the door to the deans office"

I did as i was told and i saw the door, i knocked once and immediately heard a 'come in'.I enter to see alice behind an oak desk.She doesnt look at me.

"I was expecting you"She simply says.I just stand there till she paused her writing to look up at me.

"morning desdemona".

"morning dean"

"any nightmares?"

i nod and i want to tell her about the new scene in my dream but i mentally shake my head no.I shouldnt burden her with the stupid dream.

"good"she says and nods."how do you like your roommate"

"she's sweet and her friends all seem to like me"

alice smiles a sad smile"you know you're meant to stay low"she says and i read in between the lines.

you're not meant to have friends cause you're dangerous and you'll be putting them in trouble.

i sigh"i know"

she looks at me again "hungry?"

i nod and a tray of breakfast appears on the table.

As a traveller,alice can go anywhere and make objects appear and disappear to her will.

i mumble my appreciation and butter my toast before taking a bite.I drink tea and eat my omelette all the while,alice sat watching me.

"You remind me of your mother"she randomly says which leaves me in shock but the shock only lasted for a few seconds because i recovered quickly.

"she was so pretty and very responsible"i wince at her words and she realizes her mistake and corrects herself"not that youre irresponsible.You're quite strong and responsible"

I let out a bitter chuckle"because killing hundreds of innocent is responsible"

"desdemona it was a mistake"

"that was all my fault and doing"

"you weren't in control of yourself"she defended me.

"but it was my powers that caused it,If i didnt have these dumb powers maybe i would've been in control of myself"i say and i know any normal person should convince themselves that the incident wasnt thier fault but what happened wasn't just a normal incident,it was the murder of hundreds of people and i have to take full responsibilities for that.

Alice sighed and put her face in her palms."okay"

"classes start by 8:30"she said and i looked at the clock hanging on her white wall.

8:13

she pulled open her drawers and handed some papers and a book to me.

"your schedule,school map and the school's handbook "

i look at my subjects for the day

history of warlocks,weaponry,math,english,training,meditation and finally physical fitness.

i stood up and proceeded to leave.

"school ends by 2:00 and i expect you in my office before 2:30 so we can begin your new training.

i nod and leave her office.

As i walk out of the administration building i wish that i had any of my new friends in math,english and physical fitness classes.

i bump into a wall which sends sparks and warmth true out my body and results to my papers flying out my hold and the ground reaching out to high five my butt.

I groan and i feel a small flame of anger but i extinguish it quickly.

i start gathering my papers and the book before standing up and looking at the wall of warmth that i just slammed into.

he looked pale which indicates that he's obviously a vampire and had beautiful blonde hair and sparkling green orbs for eyes.I kept looking at his eyes and i heard his sexy voice pull my eyes from his and to his pink beautiful lips.

"you could take a picture you know"he says and i scoff

"you wish"i mutter.

he just smirks "says the girl who spent a minute eyeing me"

"never in your wildest dream"

he chuckles and looks at me "you are new what's your name sweetie?"

"you must be stupid and crazy to think that ill tell you my name"i say as i start walking away.

"trust me babe see you again and get your name"

i just chuckle and shake my head.

i sneak a peek behind my shoulders to see him still standing on the spot i left him still looking at me
