CYBERSPACE LOVE

CHAPTER 10

Two months passed. It was my birthday. Unlike my other birthdays, I was in new house with husband and in-laws. My parents wished me on phone. Scrumptious lunch was prepared and every one cared me like a princess. I was so lucky to be in such a family.

In that evening, I was in my room watching Mr. Bean. Someone opened the door. It was Austin.

Austin: Happy birthday. This is my gift for you...here.

(It was a file!)

ME: File?!?

Austin: Did you see the boxes out there?

ME: hmmm

Austin: Those are also my gift for you. First you read what is in the file.

(It contained complete conversation between me and Justin, poems and letters...)

ME: you are Justin?

Austin: hmmm...

(For a moment there was silence. We both didn't speak a word.)

Austin: I wanted to tell you but you didn't care to listen to me. I am not a writer or an archaeologist or a lawyer...but I tried writing love notes and poems. I don't know if you are impressed... I tried my best. Those conversations are to prove that I am Justin.

ME: But you are Austin... or did I hear it wrong.

Austin: (He started with a laugh.) My name was Justin. But I changed it to Jerold Austin David. You told me once, you liked 'Jerold Carter David'. The name 'Carter" will remind you him but I want to be myself to some extent.

ME: Ummm... those boxes... What is that?

Austin: Dairy milk...

ME: All those? Did buy the whole shop? How did you know it is my favorite?

Austin: (Again he laughed. For once, I felt he was cool.) You told me while chatting that you asked Carter to buy you dairy milk. I thought it was your favorite. There are lots of varieties in it. I don't know what to buy... So I got five in each variety.

ME: Five?

Austin: I heard from your friend it was your lucky number. Also she doesn't know what happened. After my studies, I lost her contact Sarah. I searched for you where I can and with all the hints I had. God was with me. At last when I found you, I was so happy that you were not married yet. I thought you had overcome all his thoughts. But after marrying you, I found your ring tone was "wait for you". I burned inside. I love you so much. You will realize it someday. Until then I will wait for you....

Without a second thought I hugged him, feeling his warmth and the next moment I kissed him. We were kissing passionately for few minutes. That is when I realized that I am a good kisser.

ME: I never knew that actually I was waiting for u to marry me and now how should I call you? Austin or Justin?

Austin: mmm... darling or hubby would do.

(He winked at me)

ME: Sure ma darling hubby... and... happy?

Austin: For?

ME: It was our first kiss.

Austin: You are wrong my darling. It was my first kiss for you and your second kiss for me. You already kissed me while chatting... Though you meant it for Sarah, you sent it to me. If you want, check that file for proof. (He said with a smile. Deep inside my heart, I felt he is the guy for me.)
