~The Next Morning~
Forth groaned slightly as he awoke. Annoyed at being woken up by the thumping in his head, especially after having been woken up halfway through a very good dream in which Beam had kissed him. He pouted slightly, still not opening his eyes as he lay on his back, wanting to know what would have happened next in his dream and just how much he had drunk to make his head feel this groggy and painful. He licked his lips as he tried to rub the sleep out of his eyes and wake up, feeling dehydrated but at the same time didn’t want to move, feeling like there was a weight pressing down on him. He groaned again, louder this time and fidgeted, trying to sit up from his position before freezing suddenly. He opened his eyes, suddenly feeling wide awake though very confused. The ‘weight’ that he had thought was a product of his alcohol induced state had shifted slightly with him before snuggling closer onto his chest. He moved his head up, wincing at the painful twinge it brought with it and stared at the mop of hair he could see. “Beam?” He whispered this; now unsure of whether he was awake or still dreaming.
“Mmm?” Beam mumbled back, not completely awake yet. He stretched slightly before curling up again, content to stay where he was and drift back to sleep.
Forth stared, using the hangover to convince himself that he was awake. He frowned as he tried to remember what exactly had happened last night. He shook his head, deciding it was better to get up and get a drink before thinking about anything properly. He slipped his hands around Beam’s waist, blushing slightly as he touched bare skin, and levered himself around so that he was on his side and placed Beam on the bed beside him, hoping that he wouldn’t wake him up.
Beam frowned slightly in his sleep before becoming comfortable again, his face returning to a more relaxed expression.
Forth smiled down at him as he watched. He flicked a piece of hair out of Beam’s face before getting up properly and taking a good look around to try and figure out what had happened last night. He frowned, noticing that they’d both been sleeping down the width of the bed instead of the length. He sighed slightly with relief as well as he noted that they were both still partially clothed, glad that he hadn’t taken advantage of them both being very drunk to do something improper, especially as he was meant to be getting married in a few weeks. He shook his head as his mind turned to that dismal thought and grabbed himself a glass of water from the pitcher on his desk, wincing at the stale taste as it hadn’t been changed for a few days, but happy that it cleared his head a little.
He walked back over to Beam, thinking that he didn’t look that comfortable and grabbed one of the pillows and slipping it under his head softly, before also covering him over with the throw, now worrying about Beam having slept all night uncovered without a top on and hoping that he hadn’t caught a cold. Happy with his ministrations he sat back up, stroking Beam’s hair as he thought through what he could remember last night. He stopped when he realised he was making Beam stir and stood back up wandering to his desk again, sitting in his chair and leaning back his hand to his chin. He remembered the kiss, blushing again as he ran his fingers over his lips, and frowned trying to get through the blur that was the rest of the night. He tilted his head as he thought, vaguely remembering Beam whining about being hot, his eyes trailing over the discarded shirt on the floor. He looked down at himself, noticing his own shirt being unbuttoned, Beam’s voice from the night before ringing in his ears, ‘You too, Forth~ It’s hot isn’t it?’. Forth shook his head, deciding that was just what he wished had happened and turned again to look over his shoulder at Beam, now trying to figure out how they ended up in their position on the bed.
Beam stirred, wondering why his bed suddenly felt so comfy and stretched out fully on the bed before snuggling into the throw, curling it round him. He blinked as he woke up, now wondering why he had a throw on his bed and not the blanket he normally had. He sat up quickly, his mind still foggy with sleep and the alcohol from yesterday. He looked around, blinking at the light and stretching his arms up. “Oh, morning Forth…” He blinked again, his eyes double taking back to Forth. “Forth?” Wide awake now he looked down, noticing his state of undress and quickly grabbed the throw that had fallen around his waist, pulling it up over his chest. “What are you doing in…” he looked around again “…your room?”. He frowned. “OK, scrap that. What am I doing in your room?”
