Lucy was currently outside in the garden playing with her favorite doll Michelle. Smiling and laughing, she enjoyed playing with Michelle. She would always be with Lucy, to keep her company for when her parents were busy doing business.

"Look Michelle! I made you a blue flower to put in your hair!" Lucy says to the doll with a smile holding the flower out to show the doll. The doll's head just tilts to the side a little as the smile put on the doll's face stays the same. "Kehe! Ill put it in your pretty hair for you." Lucy says that contagious smile not leaving her face. Lucy puts the small paper flower in Michelle's hair and then stands up smiling loving her work then she giggles "You look so pretty! I'll make more for you Michelle."she says as she sits down on the ground grabbing the paper starting to make more paper hearts for her lovely doll. The reason Lucy always plays with the doll and loves it very much is because her mom had given it to her, she always keeps things or treasures anything her mom gives her. In all honesty she loved her mom more than her father, only because her mom spends more time with her. But we can't blame Jude either, he does have to work a lot being king and all, the queen is just there to help him make tough decisions. As Lucy was making her second paper flower for Michelle a maid comes rushing outside grabbing Lucy by the arm. "Princess come quick! Your mother is very ill and she doesn't have much time..." the maid said Lucy grabbed her doll and dropped the paper and ran to her parents room the maid following behind her. Lucy runs into her parents room and runs over to her mother as tears start to form into her eyes. "Mommy...." little Lucy says looking up at her mother holding her hand, for Lucy she knew what was happening, her mother was slowly dying and would not be here for long...
"Princess..." Layla says coughing a little looking at Lucy giving her a weak but precious smile. "Momma....don't go you can't die!" Lucy says crying. "I love you....If you leave me i won't have someone to play with...or talk about stuff..." Lucy says still crying looking up at her mom. "Do not cry my lovely.....you're prettier when you smile....do not worry....i'll always be in your heart...." Layla says putting her hand on her daughter's head flashing her another lovely smile. "I'll always be with you Lucy...remember that..." Layla says taking her last breath and slowly dies with that beautiful smile...then her heart stops and that's when they all knew....the queen Layla Umeko Heartfilia had died that day....and ever since that fatal day, Lucy has never forgotten what her mother had said to her that night...
Nor will she ever forget what her precious mother had said to her.....ever.
