Alyssa pov.

       I was skating to the goal.
Just me and the goalie. I skated and lifted my stick to swing and brought it back down and siked the goalie and pushed it in. I won the game for my team. I screamed in victory as this was my fourth time bringing my team to state championship. They all surround me and we cheered.
We got pictures for the newspaper and after we went to the locker room to shower and change. See, I'm the only girl on my team which makes it harder for me to change in there, so I wait till the boys are done.
After they were done I walked in to take a quick shower, got changed, and fixed my hair." Hey Star, you got a visitor." I looked up and saw my dad. " Alright, I'll be out in a minute let me get my stuff." He nodded and walked out. I grabbed my stuff and walked out." Hey Miss. Church, I'm Don Tibbles, I'm from Hendrix...blah blah.." I sorta stopped listening until I heard." To play with team U.S.A?" My eyes widened and I looked up.
" What?" I asked still shocked." Since you're a really good hockey player and you have brought you team to state champion four times, I was asking if you would like to come and play for team U.S.A?" I insistly nodded." Alright, well we are leaving tonight to go meet your other teammates, I've already talk to your father and he said of course." I nodded." I'll be there by 7 to get you and take you to the airport." I nodded and walked away." So Star, did you take the offer?" Dad asked as we walked to his car." Of course, I want to show the world what I got and that just because you're a girl, doesn't mean you can't do something that involves physical contact." My dad nodded and we got into the car.

6:50 pm.
I walked downstairs and grabbed my stuff for hockey and sat it by the door. I looked in my bag and saw I had everything I need. I sighed and sat down on the stairs." He's here Star." I nodded and grabbed my bags.
I walked outside and saw him." Here I'll take that." Mr. Tibbles said. I nodded and let him take them, he almost fell, but toke them anyway. I turned around and looked at dad." Bye Star, I'll miss you." He said as he hugged me."I'll miss you to dad." I hugged ,then pulled away." Gotta go dad love you!" I said as I jogged to the limo." Love you too, Star." He waves back, then walked inside. I sat down in the car and waited for Mr. Tibbles."Let's go kid." He said as he got in.

At the hockey rink

I stood there with the five other kids. 1 girl, 4 boys. I sighed, then turned around once I heard talking. My new coach and team." Look at them, they look so snobby." Julie said to me, I nodded and we both laughed." Tell me about my new kids." The coach said." That's Luis Mendoza, he's from our Miami club. A real speedster. Incredible skater. I clocked him at 1.9 seconds, blue line to blue line." Mr. Tibbles said. After he finished, Luis started to skate. Soon I saw a blond kid push a kid with red hair and glasses down. I chuckled and looked back to Luis. Then Luis fell. Me and the U.S.A people skated to help him.
" Are you ok?" We all asked." Yeah, I'm alright, almost had it that time." I chuckled and skated back to my place. Next was Dywayne." YEE-HAW! How is everyone?! Y'all ready to play some puck?!" He yelled. Everyone from the other team laughed. I glared at them and they shut up. Some whispered stuff that I couldn't hear. Next was Julie. I winked at here and she laughed. She skated over to the goal and put her aquipment on.
" There's Julie 'the cat' Gaffney. She won state championship for Maine three years in a row." I laughed at their goalie that fell into the spilts. Mr. Tibbles says my name." That's Alyssa Church aka 'Star', brought her team to state championship four years in a row, people all over he state know here for her doing the cloud 9." I got my mask on and skated around and did cloud 9." Wow!" I heard everyone say. I smirked and got back into my place." Don't you know that everything's on fire." Dean said as he skated and pushed people down. I rolled my eyes." Come on tex, sing it with me." He said to Dwayne, who looked scared shitless. He skated towards me and said." Here you go sweetie." As he tossed me his stick I threw it down and heard." Who does this guy think he is?" I saw the goalie get up and run to the group that was forming. I skated and saw what was happening. I got in the middle of Dwayne and some boy that were getting a little heated." Hey stop!" I said as I pushed them away. Then the coach blew the." Everybody freeze!" He yelled. We all stopped and I looked at the kid beside me." Now we didn't come here to fight, we came here to play hockey! We're team U.S.A! You
represent our country." Coach Bombay, I learned his name." Thats right!" Mr. Tibbles said." Now, I want you to-" Coach got cut off by Mr. Tibbles." To be all you can, right?" Coach rolled his." You gotta raise yourself up! Ya got-" Coach then said.
" All right let's scrimmage." I smiled and looked at Julie." Great! Scrimmage! You heard your coach! Now- You don't need me here, I've got an appointment with Ms. Mackay. She's the team tutor." Mr. Tibbles kept rambling on and on." Don?" Coach said, well holding his hand out. We all laughed." Come on, you'll get it back by the end of the school term." Mr. Tibbles handed his whistle over and walked away. I walked up to Julie and stood beside her." Alright ducks, let's show'em what we got! Let's scrimmage!" We all got in our teams, ducks against newbies. Dwayne in front Julie as goalie and everyone else spread out ready for anything." Great day for hockey, aint it?" Dwayne asked the kid infornt of him." Sure is cowboy." I laughed. Dwayne got the puck and passed it to me. I immediately skated as fast as I could and went around the back of the goal and pushed it in. I looked at the kid I learned was name Adam. I winked and skated down the rink. He got the puck and came down. He did the same thing as me and winked back at me.

Little bit into the game, Fulton, got the puck and was about to shoot." Look out!" I heard people shout." What a bunch of wusses." I heard Dean say. I was looking around and someone tackled me. I looked up and saw Adam." Thanks." I said sarcastically." You're welcome." I looked up and saw the puck coming towards us. I grabbed his head pulled it down just in time for it to go soaring throughout the room. We were inches apart." Hey I would like to get up now." I said chuckling." Sorry." He got up and helped me." Duck!" We saw a woman and Mr. Tibbles." Yeah, the ducks." Then the puck hit him in the head. I laughed. Me and Adam skated to the rest of the team surrounding Mr. Tibbles and the mystery woman." Hello? Mr. Tibbles? Mr. Tibbles? Mr. Tibbles can you hear me? Mr. Tibbles wake up." The woman said. Then Coach put something under his nose, he woke up.. sorta." Oh Mr. Tibbles, are you ok?" The woman asked." I-I'll take a cheeseburger, fries, and a chocolate shake, please." And he falls back asleep. We laugh." I think he'll be ok." We all nodded." We'll keep an eye on him." We all looked at her confused." Oh, I'm sorry, he didn't have a chance to introduce us, I'm Michele Mackay, their tutor." She said, gesturing towards us." Hi,I'm Coach Bombay, their coach." Coach said. I chuckled lightly at how awkward he was." Who said we need a tutor?" Adam said. I rolled my eyes, and whispered to him." That goon over there needs it." I said pointing to Dean. He laughed."Yea really, I don't need no school." Dean said." See, grammar." He laughed again."Now Me. Mackay, we're America's team here, shouldn't we just be concentrating on hockey? May I suggest optional attendance?" Goldberg said." We'll, that's mat a bad idea..." She paused not knowing what to call him." Call me Goldberg." He said, grinning." Goldberg, yes, school will be optional." She said making us all cheer." However.. However, should you not attend, you will not be eligible to play." We all groaned."Oh, that's unfair!" Connie said. I laughed and waited for coach to tell us what to do.
