SOON ENOUGH, ALL SEVEN GIRLS WERE SITTING IN A CIRCLE ON THE LIVING ROOM FLOOR. Briana had told them to do this, and they were going to 'bond.'
"Alright everyone! So basically we're going to go around the circle and say our name, age, what we're here for, and a random fact about ourselves." Briana paused, looking around the circle for reactions. "I'll start.
"I'm Briana, but you guys can call me Bri. I'm 21, and a senior, and I'm here because I sing. A random fact is... I love basketball. Next!" Bri looked to her right, where a girl Kia did not yet know sat.
The girl waved. "Hello everyone, I'm Sephora. You guys can call me Seph. I'm 19, and this is my second year here. I'm here for playing the ukulele. Random fact, I'm lactose intolerant." She grins and turns to the person next to her.
"I'm Veronica, but you guys can call me Ronnie. I'm 20, this is my third year here, and I'm here for singing along with Bri. A random fact is I cannot live without listening to music twenty four seven." She giggles slightly, and turns to Kia, who was sitting next to her.
"I'm Kianna, call me Kia. I'm 18, first year here. Here for singing, and uh, I have a YouTube channel where I do covers. Basic enough." Everyone smiled at her, and the next girl went.
"I'm Reagan, 18, dancing, and uhh, I've been dancing since I was five?"
"I'm Shelly!! I'm 18, I'm here for playing the piano, and I'm a vegan."
And lastly, "I'm Layla. I'm 19, I'm a dancer, and I'm a stripper." She winks, making everyone raise their eyebrows at her. "KIDDING!! Only on weekends."
Bri, still looking slightly uncomfortable, turns to the rest of the group. "Alright, nice to meet you all! I'm sure we'll all be very fast friends. And we'll sound great together in the competitions. Now, curfew is at 10:30 every night, but lights out any time by midnight. You'll be sharing a room with one other person. I'm the 'leader' or whatever, so I have my own room. Every once in a while though, we can all sleep in the living room together. We're going to have so much fun here, I already know.
"Okay so, the room pairs are Layla and Shelly in room two, Reagan and Seph room three, and Kia and Ronnie room four. I'll be in room one, and if you need anything just let me know.
"We'll start discussing songs and ideas later today, but for now, go to your rooms and get set up. I'll see you all in one hour back here."

Soon enough, Kia made it into her room. It was painted a light purple, and half of the room was already decorated.
"I've lived in this room since I started here, so I've had it decorated for a while." Ronnie states as she walks into the room behind Kia. She nods, setting her bags down on her bed.
"It's not too much, right? I tend to go all out." Says Ronnie as she sat on her bed. "I can take a few things down if you want."
Kia shook her head. "No no, it's fine. I like it a lot actually." She grabbed her bag she had her posters and other room decor and opened it up, dumping it onto her bed. Her music posters and snippets from magazines spilled out, a few crumpled. Kia straightened them out and looked at her wall, deciding how to hang them.
"So, you have a YouTube channel?" Ronnie asks suddenly. Kia turned to her.
"Yeah. Not a big deal though. I've been posting videos since I was about eleven."
Ronnie nods, her gray-lavender curls bouncing. "How many subscribers?"
"I just hit 1 million." The other girl in the room eyes widened.
"That's insane! You must be really good."
"Ha, not really. I'm honestly surprised I got into this school." Kia responded, looking away from Ronnie and pursing her lips. Ronnie rolled her eyes.
"I'm sure you're being modest. Sing something for me."
"I don't-"
"Please." Kia sighed in defeat and began to hum.
"We keep this love in a photograph, we made these memories for ourselves."
Ronnie joined in with a lower pitch. "Where our eyes are never closing. Hearts were never broken, And time's forever frozen still."
They ended, Kia's face red but with a small smile. Ronnie raised her eyebrows.
"And you say you aren't very good. Your voice is amazing!" Kia rolled her eyes playfully.
"Says you! Your voice is practically perfect."
"And with you, me, and Bri together it'll be completely perfect." She stood up and pulled Kia into a hug. "We're going to be amazing friends, I know it."

After about a hour, Kia's side of the room was decorated. There were band posters, singers interviews cut from a magazine, and album covers hanging on the walls. On her side table, she had a aesthetic gold lamp, a picture of her, her mom, and Asia together, and a fake plant. It looked nice, and was really starting to feel like home.
"Looks great Kia." Ronnie states, looking up from her laptop. Kia thanked her, looking at the room as a whole. Ronnie's side was a lot like Kia's, except it was slightly neater. It had a few actor posters and band posters, and she had quotes all over the walls too. Altogether, the room looked really nice.
She then made her bed, before pulling out her laptop and charger and plugging it in. It was a slightly old laptop, and it was her moms years before. But, it worked well and Kia loved it nonetheless.
"Alright ladies! Report downstairs in the living room in ten minutes!" Kia suddenly heard Bri shout from the hall. She finished up a few more adjustments before heading down with Ronnie.

This time, instead of a circle on the floor, they all sat around on the couch. Bri, holding a clipboard and pen, joined them in a chair across the couch.
"Okay, now what we're going to do is discuss songs that we could preform at any shows. We have three singers, two dancers, and ukulele and piano players. What will we do?"
Kia spoke up quickly. "Maybe any twenty one pilots songs? They use piano and ukulele a lot."
Sephora rolled her eyes. "As if. They're too depressing. I say we sing Beyoncé."
"No no Seph, Kia's idea was good." Bri chimed in, turning to Kia. "What songs by them would be best?"
"Maybe House Of Gold? Or We Don't Believe Whats On TV?" Reagan's eyes light up.
"I love We Don't Believe What's On TV!! I think that'd be really good for the competition." Bri began writing.
"I'll definitely take those songs into consideration Kia! Thank you! Any other ideas?"
The discussion went on and Bri wrote down more and more ideas. Seph seemed to argue with a lot of them, while everyone else agreed. It was annoying, but Bri didn't let her get too rude to anyone.
"Thank you ladies. I'll listen to all of these and get back to you soon!" She stood up. "Now, you can just sit around and talk. We go to lunch in about an hour, and after lunch there's a few things planned. If you need to finish decorating go ahead, but if not, do whatever. I'll go work on listening to a few of these songs."
