"LUNCH, TWO MINUTES!" BRI SOON YELLED FROM UPSTAIRS. She was good at directing people, and unlike most people she did it nicely. The girls all stood up, and Kia turned to Ronnie.
"So do we eat in a cafeteria or..?" Ronnie nods.
"Yeah. The cafeteria has round tables that fit seven people, and each house sits together." Kia made an 'O' shape with her mouth as Bri walked downstairs.
"Lets go to lunch!" She states, and heads to the door.
Reagan, after tying up her dark, poofy brown hair, looks at Bri with curiosity. "We don't have to walk in a line, right?"
"Yes, we do." Bri paused before rolling her eyes. "No, we're in college. We just walk together."
So, they headed out the door. A few other houses were out too, including the red house. Kia and Carter ended up making eye contact, causing them both to grin, until Kia broke the eye contact. The girls walked in a big group, and Kia ended up next to Reagan.
"Everyone's so tall here." Reagan commented. At this moment, Kia realized how short the girl was. She couldn't have been any taller than 5'5", while Kia was at 5'7", and everyone else was close to Kia's height or taller.
Kia shrugged, then after a moment continued. "So you're a dancer, right?"
Reagan nodded. "I do a lot of ballet and hip hop."
"That's so cool." Kia responded. "I've always wished I could dance."
"Well I've always wished I could sing! I sound like a dying pig when I try." Kia raised her eyebrows.
"I doubt you're that bad."
"My mom tried to get me voice lessons as a kid, and the teacher literally paid my mom to take me out. That's when I realized I'm just going to stick with dancing."
Kia laughed. "Then I take back my former statement. At least you have dancing." Reagan nods. Kia looked forwards, noticing they had arrived at the cafeteria. She also noticed the other building's, which she made the connection that they were the classrooms.

After about ten minutes, the seven girls sat together at their table; talking and laughing as if they were old friends. The cafeteria was fairly loud, but that wasn't much of a surprise.
"So, after lunch, there's going to be a few different activities. I think they'd be pretty enjoyable. All the singers, dancers, and instrument musicians will get together in separate groups and with their new teacher that they'll see daily, and work together on techniques and lessons for about two hours, then there will be another assembly in the auditorium, then we'll have free time. Sound okay?" Bri states, raising her eyebrows to the rest of the group. They all nod.
"Dang, how do you remember all that?" Kia says, causing the girls to laugh. Bri shrugs and lunch carries on, until finally they get dismissed for the separate activities.
The singers were to meet in classroom 5, so Bri, Ronnie, and Kia walked down together.
"Are there a lot of singers at this school?" Kia asked the older two curiously. Bri shrugs.
"Only about twenty. Mainly everyone plays an instrument." Kia nods, and the trio soon arrive at the classroom.
It was large, with not desks, but chairs and music stands towards the back of the room and a big space in the front. There was a woman who looked to be in her mid- thirties standing in the front, and a few students in chairs in the back. The woman, Professor Mary, instructed them to sit anywhere they'd like, so the three of them sat together in the front row.
It was slightly awkward for Kia. Bri and Ronnie were really good friends, and everyone in the room seemed to know each other, while she knew no one. It didn't bother her much though; she was used to standing by herself.
More and more people filed into the room, and Kia recognized no one. Until Carter walked in. Of course.
He didn't notice Kia and sat across the room with a few boys who were probably from the red house. Then, Kia noticed another familiar face. The girl who was slightly disgusting towards her on her first day was sitting right behind Carter, and seemed to take an interest in him.
Her eyes widened slightly, but she quickly looked away from them and back towards Bri and Ronnie. They were talking about something Kia didn't quite understand, so she decided on just looking forward towards the teacher instead.
"Alright everybody!" Professor Mary suddenly yelled, gaining the whole classes attention. "As it says on the board, I'm Professor Mary and anytime you have voice classes, I'll be the teacher.
"Now, you all are very talented, and I want some of you to show it off. Any volunteers to sing something for us?"
Kia's hand immediately shout up, along with a few others in the class. Professor Mary scanned the room before smiling at Kia, and waving her forwards. She stood up and walked to the front of the class.
"Hi! What's your name?" Professor Mary asked as Kia approached her.
"Kia Johanson."
"And what will you sing for us today?" She took a deep breath. At this point, the whole classes eyes were on her.
"New Rules by Dua Lipa." She stated, looking directly at the Professor and not at the class. Professor Mary nods; motioning for her to start.
"One; don't pick up the phone..." She sang; trying to ignore the classes eyes burning into the back of her neck. As soon as Kia had walked to the front of the class, Carter had been paying attention. When she started singing, he raised his eyebrows in surprise. She was really good.
She finished, and the whole class clapped for her as she blushed and walked to her seat. Carter watched how two girls complimented her on her singing and how she blushed, but grinned her beautiful grin at the same.
"See, that is talent." Professor Mary commented, snapping Carter out of his trance. "And that's what all of you have. And I want to see it in this class. Show me your best, because I know it's in there somewhere. Now, I'll see you right after lunch daily, so please don't bring craziness to my class. But do bring a pencil. And your voices. Simple enough."
Then she got serious. "I believe in you all. Show me a reason to continue."
