It was New Year already. I was so excited. The kids were all excited. It was 5 minutes before New Year.

We were waiting for the countdown on the radio. We were waiting at the balcony so we can see the fireworks.

After 3 minutes someone knocked on the door. I ran to the door and opened it. It was Blake.

"Hi, Blake!" I said. He smiled at me.

"Hey, Chlo!" He said. I pulled him in. I brought him to the balcony.

I studied his side profile. I never noticed that he had a few freckles on his nose and cheeks.

I looked away. I kept stealing glances from him. Just when I was staring at him, he caught me. I looked away and blushed. I was so embarrassed.

He just chuckled at me. I looked at him and gave him a sheepish smile. I noticed that the twins were looking at us.

It looked like they were shipping us. I thought.

"Mom and Blake sitting on a tree. K-I-S-S-I-N-G." The twins said. They were giggling and giggling.

"First comes love, then comes marriage. Then comes mom, pushing a baby carriage." The twins said. I just shook my head. I smiled at myself. Blake studied my side profile as well.

"Mom and Blake, hiding in a bush. Making a baby, push, push, push!" The twins said in unison.

"You know, I think you're really beautiful." He said. I grinned.

When it was 30 seconds left, Blake spoke. He kneeled down. "Can I court you?" He said. I was shocked.

"Yes!" I said. He stood up and swept me off my feet, he straddled me. Then, he kissed me. And of course, I kissed him back. Just in time, the fireworks appeared. I could hear the twins teasing us making 'ayee' sounds.

He spun us. We were in the moment that time. I could feel the romance around me. My hands roamed up to his neck. His arms snaked to my waist. We both fought for dominance.

We both pulled away to catch air. We smiled at each other. The twins made sounds with their stuff. They blew their horns. His lips were still puffy. They were so red.

Blake and I just chuckled. Then, I stole a brief kiss from his lips once again. He got startled and kissed me back. I pulled away and kissed his cheek. I went to twins and hugged them.

"Happy New Year!" I shouted happily. The twins shouted after me. We all smiled and went to the dining room.

I thought maybe I should call Andrew and Michelle. I dialed their numbers and started a group call.

Ring...

Ring...

Tchk!

"Hello?" A feminine voice rang. I knew it was Michelle's.

"Heyo." A deep voice rang. It was Andrew's.
