CHAPTER 1

Emily’s POV

Finally! It’s Friday night and I finally get some freedom! For the last 6 days I’ve been here in New York, all i’ve done was do shoots here, shoots there, shoots everywhere! It was all just work! Work! Work! BUT NOT TONIGHT. Tonight I finally get to enjoy with my friends as we attend the movie premiere of “The Black Engine”. I mean, I just had to be there! Why wouldn’t I? My boyfriend plays one of the lead roles! Yup, you heard that right. My boyfriend’s the Tyler Grayson. The one all the ladies had the hots for. Of course I couldn’t blame him! He really was sexy! With those clear brown eyes, blonde hair and a very fit body with arms like--

“Ems!! Are you ready?” I heard Lucy call.

Lucy was one of my best buds from work. We almost always do the same shows together so we’re barely ever apart

“Yup! I’ll be down in a sec!” I retort.

I was excited to get to the premiere and to be able to do it with my friends was an extra bonus however—

*phone rings*

“Hello?” I answer as quickly as possible not minding whoever it was

“hey babe!” I heard a very familiar voice from across the line

“TY!!!” I shrieked

“Haha! Oh, how I miss your sexy English accent. Are you on your way to the premiere yet?”

“Yup! We’ll be riding the limo soon! How I wish you would be here in the premiere babe” I sighed

“I wished for that too love but I have the premiere over here in LA to take care of, that’s why I want you to be there on my behalf, alright?” I could almost sense he was trying to do that face that would always make me smile

“alright. But really though, I miss you” I said in a more sad, serious tone “since I got in the city all I did was work. I guess it would’ve been a tad bit better if you were here”

“aww babe! Look I really wish I was there too but ---“ and then I heard a girl’s giggle from the other end of the phone. I was definitely caught off guard.

“Who was that?” I cut Tyler off

“Oh that? That’s Janelle.” Janelle was his stylist

“Ohh, say hi to her for me! Babe, I’ve got to go, wouldn’t wanna be late for your movie!”

“alright, alright! Bye Ems! I love you!”

“I love you too!”

And the call ends.

I walk over to the limo where Lucy and the rest of my girls were waiting.

“Awww, was that Ty?” Lucy asks

“yup”

“aww. Do tell him I said thanks for giving us tickets to the premiere, and that’s from all of us girls”

“oh I surely will”

After a few minutes, we finally arrive in the theaters and man! We immediately got mobbed by screaming fans and flashing lights from the papparazi. Before I knew it, my girls and I were having our photos taken at the sophisticated black carpet. A lot of Tyler and mine’s friends were there. Of course there were his co-stars, Ryan Reynolds, Robert Hoffman, Emma Stone, Dennis Quaid –who by the way plays Tyler’s dad in the movie, and of course, my fellow british mate, Alex Pettyfer. Out of the all-star cast, they were the ones assigned to hail the NYC premiere while sadly, my boyfriend was on west coast for the LA premiere.
