The Lone Leaf - Poem

Red and gold leaves covering their brothers

Trees as orange as the sky when the sun sets

But I am different to all the others

They have a colour that I have never met.

They push me around

And batter me to the ground

Until I am just a green and pulverized mess

Because they are superior they are the best

No one will bully them.

I am the leaf left out

When they are chattering all about

They are golden

They're as red as jam

But I am different I am who I am

I’m plain old green

And they are just mean.

I am unique

But still I am bleak

I am who I am

And I will be who I want to be.
