The Blackhood is caught?

Archie's POV.
Words flew around my brain while Betty, Jug and I tried to find Veronica. I couldn't focus, but I had to. The unbearable pain of the thought of Veronica being possible hurt or worse right now was the worst feeling anyone could ever imagine. She doesn't deserve any of this. What did she really do beside be born from 2 sinners. Or so the Blackhood says. What did her parents even do that was so bad? I mean I know bits and pieces about Hiram Lodge, but I refuse to ask any more detail about Ronnie's past. Especially since it's a past she would much rather try to get away from. Uhg! I'm getting way to distracted here. My main priority is to find Ronnie. Jughead let us investigate in his RV because his dad is the only parent that wouldn't ask questions on what we're doing. Plus his dad is working at Pop's today.

"I think what we need to start off with is this." Betty states taking me out of my thoughts and getting me back on track "What 'sins' have the Lodge's made that made the Blackhood take Veronica?"

"Well I don't know about Hermione Lodge besides the fact that she had an affair, but Hiram almost killed Ethel's dad." I said and I noticed Jug writing stuff down in his notes.

"Hermione Lodge had an affair?" Betty asked a little puzzled.

"Oh I forgot you guys don't really know, but um yeah she had an affair while Hiram was in you know....jail." I paused before saying jail because I know talking about this kind of stuff is just a sensitive topic and even though Ronnie isn't here it's like I had to make sure before saying anything. Like I could feel her with me.

"With who?" Jug asked

"My dad." I answered. Thinking about that time makes me feel a little weird. Especially because Ronnie and I are dating now.

"What? When was this?" Betty asked shocked that I didn't tell her.

"A little after they moved to or should I say back to Riverdale." I answered

"Well I mean I don't think that's the only reason the Blackhood took Veronica. It can't be. There must be something we're missing." Betty argued.

"There is." Jug said out of the blue. "Look Veronica didn't tell you guys this, but while in jail her father worked on his business through Hermione Lodge. They both paid the serpents to make the properties he wanted to buy less money. I don't know the whole story and I don't think Veronica does either, but Hiram is definitely planning something. He bought the Twilight drive-in and Pop's." He bought Pop's? But why? Jug is right he is planning something big and it may just lead us to the Blackhood and/or Veronica. But another thing popped into my mind.

"How do you know this?" I asked.

"Veronica told me. Through your whole little break up she always went to me about her problems. She said it helped having a friend to hug. And she couldn't tell Kevin because of his dad and stuff." Jug said and to be honest I kind of felt a little jealous and guilty. It's because I pushed her away when I needed her. I made her feel like she couldn't come to me. God I'm the worst.

"It's because I pushed her. I've been pushing her ever since. I pushed her to say 'I love you'. I pushed her away when I needed her. What is wrong with me?" I admitted to them. I don't know why I told them, but I feel like I had to get those words out.

"Archie I'm sure she doesn't see it that way." Betty assured me then suddenly I got a call on my phone.

"Unknown number." I told them and they both crowded around me as I picked up the phone and put it on speaker. Jug took out a tape recorder and started recording.

"Hello Archiekins. How's your day been?" A man said. Sounded exactly like the man that used to call Betty. Him using Ronnie's nickname for me made my blood boil though.
